It's SO refreshing to see encouragement on here :flowerforyou:

Thanks guys! It's a silly question, but I appreciate your responses! I guess I was hoping I was going to be able to cut a few corners :-)

I totally agree with this. I have PCOS and my body does not break down any form of sugar very easily, so my doctor told me to eat fruits, just not too many ( 2 or 3 servings, tops) It's the same with veggies. Veggies also have natural sugar, but not nearly as high as fruit. I have to watch fruits, veggies and refined sugar…

I got one for my bday in January and LOVE it! It keeps me motivated and I want to hit my daily goals. I take pride in myself when I see great numbers on there! I totally recommend it. I saw some negative reviews before I got it and realized that people were just being critical. I love it and will always use one as long as…

At one point, I was out of my house 4 out of 5 week days from 4:45am-10:00/10:30pm (including gym time in the morning). Getting out of bed very early was my only option to get healthy. Besides, in the midst of such a stressful schedule, i believe you NEED that physical release to help you keep it together. Getting up so…

I most definately haven't been saying I'm too busy to work out. I've never used that excuse. However, I've been CHOOSING to be lazy lately and opt to do other things over working out. (I hate when I get in these lulls! I'm in the process of getting out of it though! I've had FAR TOO MUCH success over the last few months to…

Sooooo, to add onto this question: Should you poo before you weigh in?? I won't weigh myself unless it's in the morning and right after i let everything out and before putting anything back in... Am I being crazy?!?

lol, I thought the same thing and was like, "Good for her! The gym is so important to her that she is basing her hairstyle around it!"

I think of the hard work it would take to burn off what I want to eat and also think about the hard work I've done to get to where I am now. My phrase is, "it's just not worth it!" or "I worked too hard today to waste it" and then try to find a better option for me that wouldn't be as bad, but should help fill that…

I love it!

My best friend and I talk about this all the time! We don't understand the hair down look at the gym. Our biggest pet peeves are the ladies in teeny tiny outfits, with a fresh face full of makeup and ever so slowly using an elliptical and watching for people watching them, like "Do the guys see me. I'm here, not sweating…

I think some people missed the clarification. She doesn't think OA is comical at all. She already explained that. I agree w all of you though, food addiction is just like every other addiction on the planet. It sure is tough to handle wo at least the support of friends and family (if you don't go with OA) I personally…

"Full time job" You nailed it!

I'm not sure I understand the reason for this post. Is it questioning other people's eating habits or trying to decide if it's right for you? I for one eat a lot of the same foods, but I don't binge on pizza or other foods like that. I have seen too much success to want to go backwards. I'm finally letting myself be my…

Ok, sweet! Thanks everybody! Sounds like I can go with what I mapped out for myself! I appreciate the feedback!

YES! I totally agree with you! It doesn't need to be a debate and I'm still waiting to hear who defined the rules of womanhood! I'm a plus size woman. Does that make me less of a lady bc I'm not average? Nope! Body builders/lifters are just as womenly, but to their own definitions! Some people's characters... you…

Everybody has their own opinion on this. Just bc someone doesn't like it and says why, doesn't mean it's time to attack her about it. It's just like gay marriage and abortions and presidential elections; people differ on opinions, but want to force others to side with them and tell them why they are so wrong for believing…

It was a big pill for me to swallow: What do you mean eat more to lose weight?!?! BUT, I can see and feel a great difference in myself! I feel like I am always eating (but staying at or just under my calorie goal)! I love food, so it's nice to always eat! Of course, I make good decisions about what I consume, but eating…

My mother-in-law and I started this journey together. While my weight was dropping, she was hardly moving anywhere. She was beyond frustrated, but she didn't give up! Now, she is losing weight like crazy and I am so proud of her! She could have given up, but she didn't! I was baffled by her lack of weight loss, but now she…

I'm in the same group as those of you that don't lose cup sizes, but band size. I am doomed to have big boobs forever (at least until I have children and then have a reduction. I can't imagine what it would be like to work out and not have giant masses in front of me!!!) How do other large chested women support themselves…

This was totally me too!! I LOVE and used to always crave sweets! It took a good week of really cleansing and fighting those urges. I only ate natural sugars, like fruits. I'm finally at a point where I don't crave it. My body adjusted to it. They also say that certain bread you eat (whites and starches) turn to sugar in…

Thanks for asking this!! I have been wondering the same thing! Now if only we could get people to agree on an answer... Is this one of those "it could be a few answers" or "everybody is different" deals?? This is a great thing to know!! I don't want to be too under my calorie limit bc I worked out hard, but mentally my…

Don't question a good thing  Congrats on a great start!!

There is nothing like a deeply broken heart. You're right, there is nothing that can make you feel better from that, other than time. It's almost like when someone passes away. You grieve and grieve and it just plain ol' hurts and there isn't much people can say or do. Things will get better. They always do! Make sure you…

Don't be ashamed of yourself! I don't have advice for you, since I have never been in that situation, but I can tell you that it's a real life battle. I have however, battled weight gain and weight loss throughout my life and I know how aweful that makes me feel. I feel so out of control of myself when I gain weight back.…

I used to live in Hawaii and moved to PA over the summer. I'm a teacher and didn't renew my contract so I could move. Now, I sub while I wait for another contract to open up here. It's a job, but it's sooooo hard!!! I went from respect in my own classroom, to being in a different school, different class and not knowing if…

Time to hit the ol' dusty trail. No hurt feelings. No need to run off of MFP and never look back! No need to be sore about it. I just stated my opinion and got a lot of feed back, some positive and some negative. Some people understood where I was coming from and some people put words in my mouth and twisted around my…

PS- A lot of people in this forum have lost tons of weight... pretty awesome! I'm amazed by some of these numbers!

Again, I am not talking about ME. I am not basing this off of comments made to ME. I've been quoted a few times on here now from other forums. The assumption has been made a few times now that I made this thread bc of my other threads today. Nobody was even "mean" to me on those. You're trying to call me out as being wrong…
