I'm in the same boat as you! It took some time to see noticeable changes, but I can see a huge difference now. I recommend not just walking, but maybe throw in a few short jogs/runs during that walk. If you're using a treadmill, go up an incline for a little bit. I like to do a fast walk up a high incline and I can always…

I run the same speed and I seem to think it's been the key to me losing weight! I like to change things up and do random sprints for 30-45 seconds and do inclines. However, the bulk of my cadio is from a "slow run" like you're doing. I've seen drastic differences in myself from it. Keep it up! If you start going faster and…

I like to somehow mention to people that I've been able to lose weight, while in the actual interview. It shows dedication and determination, without actually saying how awesome you are :-)

That is where my confusion comes in and the purpose of this question.

Forget what you said (even though I agree)! All I see is the fact that you lost 200 lbs!!! You're my hero!!!

I had a feeling someone would tell me I would die from it ;-) I don't drink it all the time, but I would not drink any at all if it wouldn't benefit me as regular water would. I'm a teacher and I don't have a place to stack bottles of water (which I like to think of myself as being a little more "green" than that anyway!)…

You look ridiculously awesome! Great job! :drinker:

When I was a 14, I HATED the size number. However, I LOVED the way I looked!! Nobody believed I was a 14, but I knew I was. Your dress size does not always portray your health and weight! Congrats on the weight loss!

blue eyes and dark hair is gorgeous :-)

When I was in 4th grade, I remember a 3rd grader crushing her oreos on the playground. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I wanted to make more cookies, so I am crushing them so there would be more". I feel just as smart today, knowing why her reasoning was so far off, as I feel right now reading these posts!…

I think some people are here just to argue and prove a point. All of this has stemmed from a question about eggs... Eggs, people! We're not talking politics, abortions, war etc... Anyway, my 2 cents: I tried to cut out all yolk for a while. I almost feel like I lost more weight when I began eating them again! Listen to…

Wow guys, thanks! I think it's time to get myself a jump rope!!

Lol! It seems that more and more kids come to school, lacking what you and I learned at home! For those parents that are still teaching manners and respect I say, "I love you!" I make phone calls home just to tell parents how wonderful their kids are and thank them for such a great job! Disclaimer- I know some kids come…

Thank you! Thank you! :flowerforyou:

I had a student fail my class one year. His second year in my room, he said "Didn't she get more fatter over the summer?" (to a person who also failed me the previous year). I gave him a chance to redeem himself. I asked him what rude phrase he just said. He said, "Oh, I asked her if she thought you got more fatter". My…

This! I don't go to the gym looking good. I come so I can look good!

THANK YOU! You're so right! I was at the gym the other day and I just got done a mean run. I was a sweaty mess and as I walked in front of the ellipticals, a heard a couple of guys talking and one said, "Ewww, that is just nasty" My heart dropped and I thought they were talking about me. I was so proud of my run, until I…

Sugar (natural or refined) should be watched for a few reasons (for some people). It also depends on who you are and what your body is able/not able to do with it. I have PCOS and sugar, even natural sugar isn't super great for me. My body doesn't break it down as easily and it causes a good spike in my blood sugar/insilin…

I have no shame for this following comment! It was my fault I tried it, so I can fully admit to it!!! I used Alli for a little bit. It does as it says, that is for sure. However, I "oiled" my pants one morning before work. It only took one good sneeze!! I am SO thankful I was still at home!!! That was the last day I took…

I would say that you're not eating enough. Your buring off just about everything you eat. When you only net so few calories for the day, your body thinks it won't get the nutrients it needs, and begins to store what you eat. I would eat some of those back. That was a hard pill for me to swallow, but I saw a difference once…

Avababy: Hope you're day gets better!

I posed this same question a few months ago. People told me it was OK to workout on an empty stomach, so I went for it. I stay very hydrated while at the gym. I'll push myself very hard for an hour and then head home for a nice healthy breakfast (and shower of course!) It hasn't seemed to hurt me any! If anything, it has…

I agree with the poster above me!! To add onto that, you need to work out for a few weeks for the simple fact that you'll start to feel better and WANT (yes, want) to work out more to get better and mantain that great feeling! It's sad to call yourself lazy and if you get motivated bc you feel good, you'll see yourself…

I've had a few students ask me this over the years. The first time it went like this: Student: "Are you pregnant" (from across the room and I called him up to the front) Me: " Are you completely unaware that it's inappropriate to ask a woman that?! No! I am not pregnant! Why would you ask me that?!" Student: "You seem…
