I agree with others, do 5 minute walk to warm your legs up. Are you running up hill/down hill or on concrete or anything? My legs act weird, depending on, where I am running.

I do not like the scale as well, but I do weigh myself occasionally to see what it MAY possibly be. I've learned to NOT weigh myself often, because I start to focus on NUMBER and NOT health benefits!
