It's all or nothing for me too. Once you stop, the cravings go away. Once you start, you can't seem to get enough. I also avoid sugar substitutes.

There is nothing wrong with you TankGirl, there are millions of us who have the same problem. Keep reminding yourself that this is not permanent situation and that you can change it. My cousin has been eating every 2-3 hours for years to control her blood sugar. She has never been over weight in 64 years. It also depends on what you eat.

Sounds like you are weighing yourself daily ? I use to do that and it was too stressful. Why not just focus on you eating plan and weigh yourself once a week. Your weight will fluctuate by pounds from morning til night. I also weigh in the same time of the day , no shoes and the same clothes.
