Hopefully you are all taking progress pics as well. I know it's corny and I didn't take them back when I did P90X, but I'm taking them this time around and I see improvement between my week 1 and week 6 pics that I didn't see on the scale or in the mirror. BTW Guitarguy. . . Fender or Gibson?

To me, pull-ups are one of the hardest things in P90X3, and Tony Horton loves them! I did a couple rounds of P90X last year and at the beginning I couldn't do any. I used a resistance band, then a chair, but I never thought I was getting much out of them (due to too light of a band or cheating with my leg & the chair). For…

Week 6 starts today!

Uh. . . . . . yeah. . . . . . . wow!

Debt paid! I gave you 30 of each, just in case my calorie count was off. This was a great idea, precisely what I was looking for out of this "accountability group", and an excellent way to rid myself of the guilt for going over yesterday. BTW - did Eccentric Lower for the first time today too. . . wow!

Big lunch and more dinner than I needed yesterday. I owe you 20 of each, payable today after work!

Thanks for the responses. I guess I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting complacent. When I did P90X before I had a horrible HRM and couldn't keep track this close. Having a decent one now, I like to use it to make sure I'm consistantly working hard. Sometimes I can feel like I'm dying, but the HRM says otherwise, so…

I have accelerator tomorrow. I haven't even looked at that one yet. . . I guess it will be a surprise. I have however, looked at Pilates, and I know that will be a killer for sure. Thanks for the heads up!

I agree. I did the green coffee bean and later, Garcinia Cambogia. Neither did much for me until I started eating right. I'm done with 'magic pills'.

How are you liking the new workouts? I believe you are a week or 2 ahead of me. I'm in week 4 and just did Isometrix for the first time yesterday. I'm glad they gave me three weeks to work on my balance before dropping that one on me! I'm very much looking forward to the new routines this week and next week, and maybe a…

I agree with TeaBea. I have a Polar FT7 and love it. Before that I had a Sportline non-chest strap model and it drove me crazy. I couldn't get any readings once I started sweating.

Way to stay on it! Those are two tough workouts to put together!

Yes! I actually bought the Perfect Fitness Perfect Pullup Assist at Walmart, which is basically the same thing. I feel like my form is better now and I too, felt like I was using my legs on the chair too much. I just got it last week and have only used it once so far. I was not as sore as I thought I should be after that…

Just got done with The Warrior. This may be my favorite workout of the ones I've done so far. I did much better at all the exercises although the Thumbs Up Push-Ups still have me falling over once in a while. I was also greeted with a nice little surprise at the scale this morning, prompting me to ask everyone in the house…

I did The Challenge yesterday as well. I was able to increase my numbers slightly and I sprung for a pull assist band. My form is much better now and no more accidental cheating with the chair. I am a little concerned however that I am NOT sore today. Push ups always make me sore & I figured with better pull up form, I'd…

You can put your resistance bands in a partially open door above the top hinge. You will have lean over quite a bit on your knees to get the correct angle, but it can be done. Here's a guy explaining it. http://youtu.be/0iFuxeWxcDg

Yesterday was my first day of Week 2, Total Synergistics. I'm still pretty clumsy with the new moves, but I think I did better than last week. Balance is certainly not my strong point. Agility last week was a mess, but I completed enough of it to be sore for two days. Hoping I can do it better today, I'm actually going to…

Hi, I'm 44 yrs old, married with two kids. I work for an IT company in the Denver area. I just moved here from Dubuque, IA but I'm originally from Toledo, Oh. I'm also a musician (guitar player) and had to leave a fairly successful band for the job in Denver. I'm about to join another band out here and want to make sure…

I used to have a drop ceiling basement. What I did was slide a tile out of the way and attach a bicycle hook to the floor joist. I would use my resistance bands hung from that for my workout and slide the ceiling tile back when I was done.

I started X3 on the 30th as well. I feel very uncoordinated with the new moves, I think I do more falling over than working out, lol! I have been through X1 a couple of times and this reminds me of those first days. I know the balance and coordination will come, and I'm loving the 30min workouts! I did add a little…
