Mine follows exactly the pattern you describe. Ironically it did the reverse when I was gaining weight.

My first child was an accident (at 17). I'm pro choice, but abortion wasn't a choice for me. I don't regret having my daughter at all. However, I will say this ... At 21 I met and married a man 12 years my senior. Think hard about it. The age difference wasn't an issue then. Some 15 years later... It's a huge issue. I also…

I appreciate all the responses and help. Measuring every food I eat in public is not going to happen. Preparing all meals at home is not going to happen. So I guess I'll have to find another way to lose weight. MFP just isn't going to work for me.

I'm frequently ordering specifically off "UNDER XXXX Calories" menus. So I'm pretty sure the "serving size" being doubled on the nutrition information isn't the issue. and I actually cut my sand which into thirds and gave the biggest part to my son. Which is a frequent happening for me (which is why you see many times 1/3…

I had started at the MFP recommended 1250 calories. I did this for about four weeks and just couldn't sustain it anymore. I was getting lightheaded, dizzy and had NO energy. I was eating out at the time. So I came online, found the BMR/TDEE information and adjusted it to 1450. WHAT I am eating hasn't changed all that much,…

I agree. Which is what I'm trying to figure out. If macros are off - would it prevent loss even if one was in deficit ? If you eat after 6pm would that prevent loss ? If you eat too much salt would that prevent loss ? If not - maybe it simply is that we are eating more than we think when out. Though I can't IMAGINE that…

Thanks D :) I HAD been seeing NSV with inches lost. That seems to have stopped the past 2 weeks. Protein is really my biggest nightmare. I have a mild allergy to eggs (and was vegetarian before starting MFP) I force myself to eat egg whites because of the low cal / protein thing, but it seems to have gotten worse and I've…

Yes. I've only been doing MFP for 76 days. I've been stuck with these two lbs bouncing around according to my weight log for almost 5.5 weeks. That leaves only 37-40 days that I lost the initial 22 lbs. OH I might mention - that included quitting a Dr. Pepper habit that was about 6-8 cans PER DAY.

For breakfast I usually have a shake. Lunch is 75% I eat at home and 25% is something that is brought in. (like Subway or a Wendy's salad) Dinner is the opposite. 75% is eaten out and 25% is at home. Prepping meals for my household is crazy difficult. We have a gluten free eater, a vegan, an aspie (who has severe texture…

I do the elliptical or walking (weather dependent) at least once. I do a form of yoga at least once (if not twice a week) and I usually have a heavy day of walking /errands / aerial yoga work / outdoor or home improvement stuff once a week.

Well, seeing as I just got a fitbit last week my steps per day were pathetic (I'm working on increasing them the past couple days). I work at home. I get out of bed, plop myself at the laptop and work the majority of the day and a large portion of most evenings. My activity is definitely something that is actually an…

I agree with you that there may be variances. Which I honestly think I am accounting for. My "half chicken" last night was logged at the highest calorie count I found for a plain roasted half chicken. I didn't even eat the dark meat. So if anything, I'm logging MORE than I actually ate. Also, while my goal is SET at 1450…

I'm really confused because before posting I went to scooby and plugged my information in to give the stats in the first post, but this time they are different - maybe I had a typo ? Either way, I'm putting myself in at my height/weight/age and at a desk job. With a 20% calorie reduction as my goal. It says my BMR is 1568…

Yes. I have a weight watchers scale that I use and I assume is accurate because the things I place on it (like a can of beans or whatever) weighs the amount the can is labeled for.

Then I'm TOTALLY misunderstanding something because those are the posts and calculator I used to set myself and my partner up. (who is having the same stalls) I've also had recent (and ongoing ) bloodwork including thyroid and estrogen so I know those aren't the issues. I know fitbits aren't entirely accurate for burns but…

I have no uterus. I'm pretty sure that makes it impossible (Edited : Saying I have NO uterus isn't entirely accurate but I'm 100% certain that future pregnancy is impossible based on physical issues)

I appreciate the snarky response, because I LOVE snark but it's really better when it's warranted. (in reply to the you are eating too many calories link)

This might be worth mentioning since there has been hormone talk. My cycle is 12 days late. Which NEVER happens. I've ALWAYS been very regular /consistent. Pregnancy is not the cause (it's impossible).

>>>I see you mentioned logging your eexercis calories, are you eating those back? With TDEE you shouldn't be. Just checking because I know between how the MFP way works and how TDEE works, it can be very confusing/misleading on what to do with exercise calories. >>>> Since I'm eating between my BMR and TDEE at 1450, I…

>>> My advice, in addition to eating more food that you prepare yourself, would be to cycle your calories. I am a firm believer that after a certain point most people will no longer respond to a set deficit, especially if that deficit is resulting in fairly low calories. For my online clients who reach a sticking point, I…

>>> ust because the nutrition information is readily available for a lot of food at restaurants does not mean that the portions are even close to the ones that they used for the reported nutritional data. >>> At chains , they are usually very close. Having worked in restaurants for a very long time the last thing they want…

As disappointing as this thread is, if anyone happened to want some kinky MFP friends ... We're all over here. *waves*

Had mine removed 2-12. Avoid any gas causing foods for awhile (beans, broccoli, cabbage, any of your own triggers). Those seemed to be the worst for me (more issues with those than higher fat foods). Lots of fiber and protein. I loved having meal substitute type shakes (I drink them for breakfast daily). That way I could…

My diary is a virtual bible for anyone looking to eat out and stay within calories! I'm a dining out junkie and eat most of my meals away from home. Tips : 1. Plan ahead. I have low fat salad dressing ready, in case a place doesn't have it. (This seems to be my most common block) 2. Try to stick with larger chains that…

I am in looooooove with the Fiber One chocolate peanut butter brownies (90). I like the Fiber One fruit snacks too (70 cal). Snackwells dark chocolate pretzels (100) and Diana's Chocolate covered bananas :)

Thanks :) I will definitely look through your diary and see what protein ideas I can "steal". As far as caffeine withdrawals .... My Dr. recommended taking an Acai Berry supplement (it's berry, green tea and caffeine) to wean me down off the pop and it worked very well to get me from 8 cans of pop to one with no supplement…

My worst days, I was drinking 8-10 cans of Dr. Pepper a DAY. My food intake has never been bad as I love healthy foods. The reason I'm overweight is probably 80% soda and 20% the way I ate previously (one meal a day).
-
I should mention this - for the past 15 years (until starting MFP) I was also pollo vegetarian. (only ate chicken). I'm allergic to eggs (yes, it's a real allergy). So chicken/nuts/beans were my only protein source. I'm struggling now because I'd rather not eat meat but there is no way for me to hit the amount of protein I…

I just had two surgeries (2-12) , so sedentary (for right now) is pretty accurate. When if I'm active it's to exercise or I log it. My BMI is 30.0 so I do fall just into the obese range. I realized something last night talking to a friend - I didn't drink enough water yesterday AT ALL. Which may account for some of how I…
