Well, I'm finally getting around to posting this. Unfortunately, I did not make my goal. I was about 10 miles shy. I know there were a couple of last minute likes. But you know what. I am still proud of my achievement. When I set this goal, I didn't even think I would get half way there to be honest. So to say that yeah, I…

So often I hear, "I used to eat x amount of calories, then I increased it to x more calories, and I am still starving. What am I doing wrong?" The issue is not necessarily that you are not eating enough calories, but you are not eating enough of the right calories. Food is fuel for the body. Your body is a machine. If you…

Start with why by Simon Sinek You are a badass by Jen Sincero The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell The 15 invaluable laws of Growth by John Maxwell I use the Audible app. Books are pretty cheap on there, and use bluetooth in my car to play through my car stereo.

I read 15-20 minutes a day to better my mind and way of thinking. Right now I am reading the Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen. I have been doing this off and on for the past couple of years, and have actually become a better leader and supervisor at my job because of it. I also listen to audio books on my way to work. I have an…

Alright, I have my calendar updated in my phone, soo all of my workout's are scheduled, meal times, personal development times, etc. So this should keep me on track, and still be able to spend time with my family. I have found it so much easier when I schedule my day and stick with it. How many of you do this?

Happy Sunday. You made it through the first full week of 2017. You should be proud of yourself. Take someone time to be with your friends and family and enjoy the day.

Some words of wisdom for you this Friday evening. It doesn't matter if you are wanting to better yourself in your career, your health, fitness, your family, or whatever it is you might want to be progressing in. The first thing you have to look at is what your current standards are? Are you setting yourself up for success…

Yesterday I was so sore. Monday ended up being more of a leg day than I remembered. Even with only using 20 lb weights, that still hurt. So I limped around yesterday. Then what do I get today? More legs. Different exercises and muscle groups, but still in the legs. The rest of the body too. The workouts I am doing are…

Some food for thought. How many of you feel you failed this past year? With your health, fitness, work, whatever? How many of you have thought that your failure was the end all be all for that? For years we have been led to believe that failure is bad. That is not so true. Think back to the different things you…

As we close on 2016, I want to thank you for liking, sharing, and supporting my journey. I hope I have been able to do the same for you. Every year we are faced with new challenges, new adventures, and new goals. For 2017, I plan to focus on improving my own health & fitness goals, helping more people with their health and…

Hello! I hope you are doing well and had a wonderful holiday. I've had my nieces and nephews here, so it has been great. Noisy, but great. I haven't done much for workouts, but have been keeping up with my running. I think I'll be a few miles short of my goal. We shall see.

What is motivation? Is it something you can get from someone else? Is it some mystic force that surrounds you like in Star Wars? How do you get it and how do you keep it? Motivation is defined as the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way or the general desire or willingness of someone to do…

Hey everyone. Sorry I have been so quiet the past few days. I have been battling my own demons, so I got a little distracted and discouraged. But I'll be back full on soon. Keep being great and pushing everyday. Every little bit counts!

Are you waiting for your circumstances to get better to try something new? Are you waiting to be richer, waiting for more free time to show up, or waiting for something very important to happen? Or are you just waiting for fate to give you everything that you deserve? I definitely believe in karma. Good things do come…

Very true. I did not get any on today. only hit 13 degrees today, and now it is -7. May have to settle for the treadmill as much as I hate it for the next couple of days.

Here is my goal for the end of the year. I think I have actually received a few more likes on the original post, so I may have to bust out a few more miles. Yikes. It's going to be tough!

Good morning. What a busy weekend. My wife and I ran the #Colderbolder on Saturday, ran another 3 miles yesterday, and relaxed the rest of the time. Kids went to running club like usual on Saturday. I got my workout in this morning and went for another 2 mile run. Last year on January first, well I guess this year…

So, here is the question of the day. Why is making a commitment to your goals so hard? Why is it that so many others can stick with it, and others can't? My thoughts....Support! If you don't have support, accountability, someone to help keep you going through the hard times, then you skip a day, then another day, then a…

I asked this a few weeks ago, but I thought I would bring it up again. Especially with this being the first of the month and close to new years when all those resolutions start to come up. Have you ever played the 5 Why's Game? If you have kids, I bet you have. :) Do this for a goal you're thinking about striving for. Ask…

Tough competition. He came in around 50th I think out of 80. He started off to slow and couldn't make up for it. We're still very proud of him. Thank you for asking.

Alright, who has a plan to make it through Thanksgiving? Are you going to go all out and splurge, binge, and make it a massive cheat day, or are you going to be a little more conservative, so you can still enjoy yourself and not sabotage all the hard work you have put in? For me, I am going to get my workout done in the…

Good for you running 3 full marathons. I haven't mustered up the courage to do one. 10k's are my cap at the moment. Maybe next year I will do one. I want to do a fun one, like maybe at Disneyland or something.
