  • Well, I have discovered that my A1C level is 5.8, which is technically pre-diabetic, so I need to tighten up my nutrition and get back on the straight and narrow. I always suspected that I may still be susceptible to it, being there is a family history of it, but the better I can control it, the better. So my why is just…
  • For me, it is still be healthy to support my family, as well as be a good role model. All my kids now are very fit and active. Running is the foundation for them. My two oldest are in cross country and track, and my youngest is in track and soccer. I can't even keep up with them in 5k's now. Not even my 8 year old son. He…
  • I have been struggling the past few weeks and have even lost my reason why. Frustrating for sure. One minute everything seems great, and the next, poof, don't care. I have been too relaxed with my nutrition, hit or mss with my workouts, and I am feeling it. I had a nice 6 days off, which helped. but now trying to get back…

  • Happy Monday! How was your Mothers Day weekend? Were you able to relax and chill?
  • Distance Thursday. After rearranging my running schedule, having my long distance run day on Thursday's has made all my runs easier. However, today was still rough. Despite taking my pre workout, I still felt a little drained. But I know why. My nutrition was weak yesterday. I didn't do any food prep this week, and I ate a…
  • 4 more miles in the books. 27 days until the #bolderboulder Today's run felt really good. Especially since I did a good HIIT workout yesterday which made my legs feel like mush. There was a time when I wasn't a big fan of running. Probably because I was forced to, rather than doing it on my own. I'm glad I got back into it…
  • Today's workout was a kick in the pants. I haven't done a workout like that in a long time. 7 minutes in a had to take a break and my calves were burning from all the different jumping exercises. It hurt so good. lol
  • Wow, that's awesome. I have yet to do any of the Spartan races. I have done the Rugged Maniac and Mud Brigade. Some day I will. Good Job bro!
  • Happy Monday and the first day of May. Summer time is almost here. We only have 4 weeks of school left here for the kids. This year has been flying by. I think I am going to switch it up this month and go back to primarily cardio workouts. I have a 10k to be ready for by the end of the month and I have been struggling to…
  • That's awesome that you have a gym buddy. Makes it so much easier.
  • Workouts have been going good this week. Chest and triceps workout Monday, 5.44 miles ran on Tuesday, back and biceps yesterday, and today will be another run. I think only 3 miles today as I have a lot of stuff to get done around the house before work. Tomorrow...Leg day. Oy vey! Do you have a workout schedule? Please…
  • Healthcare workers definitely look out for others. I'm glad your able to put more focus on yourself. Thanks for sharing!
  • These are some great reasons why. When you figure out why you want to be healthier, I mean truly and undeniably certain, it makes all the difference in the world. I'm not talking about the numbers on the scale or what your body fat percentage is. I'm talking about knowing that you are doing all you can to be healthier all…
  • I love reading all your reasons why. Keep them coming.
  • Have you tried KT Tape for your plantar fascitis? https://youtu.be/WTSOQg680mc
  • What an awesome response. Thank you for sharing that with all of us. I truly believe that you will keep going and your true Why will emerge itself when it is ready.
  • 5.25 miles today. Increased the distance. The first 3 miles hurt. Legs were tight, shins and ankles were cramping up. About the time I hit mile 3 everything started to loosen up and I could get into a good rhythm. 5 more weeks until the Bolder Boulder!
  • It's Leg Day, I mean Friday! Go get some!!!
  • Sounds like an excellent reason to me. Thank you for sharing.
  • I whippped these up this morning to give me something quick and easy to eat or snack on for the next few days. So yummy and easy. These are really helpful when your busy trying to get the kids out the door for school.
  • Thank you for sharing. I know I often reflect back on why I started when I am feeling slightly defeated or stalled. It is a good reminder and helps me focus. Sometimes my Why changes, but that's okay. What ever keep me going.
  • Love it. Thank you for sharing.
  • Happy Hump Day. This week is going so slow for me. I just want it to be the weekend already. I did manage to get a good set in today though. I was dreading this mornings workout. My arms were still sore from last week's set, and wasn't sure if I would be able to stick with the weight I wrote down for each set. But I did.…
  • Honestly, I don't know if I could make it in a costume like that. I would get so hot.
  • I log everyday. Feel free to add me.
  • Started running more frequently again to train up for the annual Bolder Boulder 10k My favorite race of the year.

  • What is one of the biggest fears you have?
  • So true. When I actually pay attention and eat right, I do eat more, but do feel as sluggish and have way more energy. Then I am also less likely to reach for junk food.
