I wonder if people will eventually start getting in trouble for flagging without any real cause. It has to be a pain for the mods to sift through all the unwarranted flags.

shhhhhh, everyone..shhhhh

I think most people aren't reading the whole thread. The OP should say "How do you deal with someone that you have to work with closely who literally will not shut up about a topic that he/she is very wrong about when I know the right answers and this person brushes off everything I say with 'WELL MY TRAINER SAID...'?"…

Same. I go to night school and work full time. Plus the gym is usually pretty empty at 5 AM - that is enough motivation to get myself up. I like being able to bench for an hour without anyone mean muggin me for the spot.
-
It is most certainly a thing. Last year during the rush I went to the gym at night. I now go at 5AM, and this thread taught me (based on others' experience) that I most likely won't have to deal with the rush this time. Party, bonus.

At this point, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut. I have a couple coworkers who like to mention diets or exercise programs they plan to do. Usually I keep my mouth shut, smile and nod, basically just keep out of it. They don't force me into discussing anything and sometimes ask my advice but they never blow off what…

I don't think anyone is better than anyone. I just don't want to have to wait for the squat rack. That's what this thread's about. Not about yoovie offending your GF. Which one is she by the way?
-
It's not about the fact that you "named a gym", it's about the fact that you start some passive aggressive argument and derail the thread. Then you take it very personally when people disagree.
-
There are probably a lot of lint balls in your dryer.
-
This is the 2nd thread that I've seen you turn into an argument about planet fitness. BFDeal made a sarcastic post and you turned it into "people JUDGE me for working out at PF" What does any of that have to do with this thread?
-
Why do you always bring up Planet Fitness?
-
Same. I overcame a lot of social anxiety to be where I'm at physically. The idea of there being double the bodies smooshed into my general area for 2 months makes me need a xanny just thinking about it ;)

Gale Hawkins blocked me and I've never interacted with him. He seems to like the "plug your ears and sing" approach to dealing with information that doesn't conform to his personal opinions. Seems not worth the time engaging with him.

I wish they'd add an option to flag people for being wrong. Flag: Spam, Abuse, Report, Incorrect information.

Beginning of March, in my neck of the woods. I am already dreading this.

I agree with rolling. I also like epsom salt baths and electrotherapy using a TENS unit, they sell them at any big pharmacy for 50 bucks or so. It is a little remote looking thing that has a couple pads attached. You set the pads on the body part and turn it on and it sends light electrical pulses into the muscle.…

I had it, thought it was bangin'. Tastes like a croissant, and you can see the flaky layers on the inside. It's basically a glazed donut that tastes like and has the texture of a croissant inside. They also stick it in its own little cute box.

At ~150 I was maintaining on 2200, so I don't know what to tell you. People can really only give advice based on their own experience and metabolisms vary, activity levels vary, accuracy of calorie calculations vary, et al. I don't think people are just trying to be jerkfaces, or "hard" in front of the forums, like you're…

I didn't see the "death of a friend" thing, I felt the exact same way. To the point that I had to leave work early one day the first week because I couldn't stop crying. People who've never smoked have no idea how hard it is to quit on an emotional level.
-
I gained 7 lbs overnight the first day after I quit cold turkey. It was all water weight, my feet and legs were painfully swollen to prove it. After a few days, the bloat evened out. I am pretty sure my metabolism was slightly higher when I was smoking but not by much. I decided to eat maintenance+ for a while around the…

Always in my house: yogurt, granola, dates, some kinda ice pops (currently Outshine tangerine carrot), laughing cow cheese wedges (lotsa flavors), lean pockets/hotpockets, "steamables" frozen veggie packs, beef jerky, some kinda trail mix (currently edamame/almond/cranberry from costco), protein powder, at least 3 kinds of…

I'd try to find a gif, but I might be flagged as abuse/obscenity

Lol I know, I just can't let this guy win. Someone please gif me "thats enough internet today" TIA

The sugar consumption argument is because of your assumption that anyone who wouldn't want an obese nutritionist would hire a thin nutritionist just based on the fact that they are thin. No one said that but you. You wouldn't be able to tell if someone was "clinically obese but doesn't look it" unless you directly asked…
-
Your arguments are very similar to the "IIFYM automatically means 'I eat nothing but bags of sugar.'" If someone says they don't want an obese nutritionist, that doesn't mean they think thin people are smarter/better than fat people. Do you think smokers who work in healthcare are hypocrites? Most people do, but it's okay…
-
Don't worry, Beethoven wrote a symphony after he became deaf, therefore every obese person is more qualified to be a nutritionist than a similarly schooled thin person. It's science.
-
Dude, you just want to argue semantics and be right in this instance. I am medically obese, but my BF% is not in the obese range, because I have a high lean body mass. The question wasn't "would you trust an obese nutritionist who is *technically* obese but doesn't look like it?" The question also wasn't "do you think thin…
