I soak them overnight ...... drain them and cook them in the crock pot all day.,,,,,,they are so easy and cook perfect this way. You don't have to watch them or make sure they don't cook dry.

I make it in a vitamix and it is so yummy, creamy and dreamy but, yes it is twice as high in calories as the bought so I seldom make it. I sweetened it a little with dates and add vanilla when I make it so that adds to the yummy factor and calories.

This isn't a recipe but this is how I like my oats. I soak a cup or steel cut oats in 4 cups water over night. In the morning I add 1/2 se salt and turn them on and cook and stir occasionally until liquid is incorporated. It takes longer to cook with steel cut oats and with that much water......but I like the final result.…

I lost 30 lbs. several months ago and have 30 more to lose. I need to pick up the momentum here and get serious again so I can get back to losing. Count me in. I am having way more days where I eat over my calories than days I eat within my calories, I want to change that. I really would like to lose at least 10 by summer.
