I use the You Are Your Own Gym App. I got it on sale, but even full price I think it is $4.99. It literally is strength training designed for people with not even a dumbbell. I am really enjoying it!

I drink beer, cider, wine, whatever, as long as it fits into my calories. And a few times a year, I don't give a crap and drink as much as I want ;)

What I did was start eating oranges! Every time I had a craving for something sweet, I ate an orange. If I still craved it, I ate another orange. If I STILL had it, then I gave myself a little bit of what I wanted. The sweetness of the orange, plus the work involved with peeling and eating it, redirected my brain enough so…

It hasn't impacted me any! I have about 2 cups a day of black coffee and still losing weight.

My favorite breakfasts: - 2 eggs with unbuttered toast (can be wheat free) - a couple of hardboiled eggs (made the night before) - Bowl of oatmeal with 2 tsp of brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon (or instead of brown sugar, a mashed banana or some applesauce) - Overnight oats:…

Swimming gives me the best work out! I LOVE it. And like you, I started out where anything like jogging was way too hard on me to do effectively or for any length of time. Like mentioned, it is both cardio and resistance, giving you best of both worlds. I definitely would give it a try!

I'm glad you found out that the scale was hindering more than helping!! Sounds like you will have no issues getting to your goal by Spring. Great job and keep it up!

Well if you put in exactly what you put in the recipe, and tell it the correct amount of servings, then very.

What kind of foods do you eat to get 1500 calories? That can have a big impact. Go for quality foods and that should help a lot.

I do this challenge all the time :) I only ever weigh myself on the 1st of the month! I hope everyone does this realizes how freeing and fun it is :) I love seeing a larger number after a while rather than stressing over the small numbers all month!

I was having problems fitting into roller coaster seats at amusement parks. Then, I went in for a physical in November 2012.... That was my highest weight ever and I knew then I would not sit back and let myself go any further!

I decided a while ago that sugar intake wasn't ever going to be where it should be. As long as you are eating fruits, and not just drinking fruit juice, you should be fine. Here is one article I like about it because it sums it up pretty nicely:…

Sorry I apparently forgot what I wrote. Edited.

My husband and I have a $120 month grocery budget, and we do eat healthy. I do this by only buying things on sale, using coupons whenever possible, and planning. Using coupondivas.com, you can match up available coupons with store ads. I check the store ad(s) and then figure out what are good deals. From there, I build my…

140 is my goal weight at 5'3" :) You look awesome now! If you want to tone up, you might not lose anything, but you will look even more amazing.

I found the best way to curb my cravings, during ANY time of the month, was to switch it with something else. If I was craving sweets, I grabbed an orange. The work of peeling it, eating it, etc, plus the sugar almost always guaranteed that the craving was gone by the time I was done. And if it wasn't? I grabbed another…

In the mornings, I eat 2 hardboiled eggs, and 1 cup of blueberries in 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk. Sooo yummy! Very quick, quiet, and it keeps me going!

I look at the ingredients list - if there is anything I don't know what it is, I don't eat it. If I still want it, I google that thing - generally learning about the things that tempt me most result in me learning things about it I didn't want to know, and I stop craving it. It's really hard to crave garbage.

It really depends on what you are doing the rest of the day. For instance, I love Texas Roadhouse. Last time I went, I had an 8oz sirloin with a side salad and a loaded baked sweet potato and did not go over. I just ate lean for the first part of the day. I tend to try and research what I want to eat before going, and add…

I only weigh on the first of the month, and I do it as soon as I get up in the morning on that day, just in whatever I went to bed in.
-
It really depends, I think. I'm down 44 lbs and have lost about 3 sizes, but my clothes didn't start feeling looser until about the 25 lb mark.

I have learned that staying within calorie goals is easier than truly eating healthy. To do both takes a little work. Gas stations, fast food, and other convenience food places have little to offer someone like me. Going over my calories for the day does not mean I failed. It just means that tomorrow I might need to do…

Mine is tucked away in a closet, and I only allow myself to weigh on the first of the month. It is way more exciting to see you've lost 6 pounds at the weigh in than to see that number go up and down all dang month! It shouldn't be all about weight - it should be about how you look and feel :)

I had an issue with food too, so I can relate to a small extent. I have to keep that stuff out of the house. Even as a gift, I just politely tell that person "I am sorry, but I cannot accept this." and explain why. My husband was frustrated at first by this, but he does understand, and it has been a huge help. Whenever I…

Triscuits, carrots, peppers, and cucumbers mostly! I also use it in place of butter on toast for egg sandwiches. It's an amazing alternative to many condiments. I have even rolled chicken breast in it and baked it! So good. You can also make a "pizza" with pita bread, use the hummus as your sauce, and top with roasted…
