I don't really have the time or money to join a gym so what are some beginner exercises that I could do from home with minimal equipment?

If you have access to a laptop or desktop (which I am assuming you do) utilize Youtube videos! I love pilates via you tube! You can also use your own body weight for dips, wall sits, abs, planks. Get a jumprope, run stairs, there is so much you can do but when I am in a crunch and the gym is not an option, I really like to try to find online videos for free good luck!!0

I use the You Are Your Own Gym App. I got it on sale, but even full price I think it is $4.99. It literally is strength training designed for people with not even a dumbbell. I am really enjoying it!0

Agree re: youtube. So many hard to list here.
Fitness Blender, WarriorZ, Fit to Go, New York Ballet...if you are new, highly recommend checking out some basic ones first. Get the techniques right for safety and effectiveness.
I abandoned gym for many years. Not for financial reasons but because of time and effectiveness. I ended up spending my resources at a Pilates Studios, lots of DVDs, online subscriptions (Jillian Michaels, Pilatesanytime). In fact, lots of DVDs are quite cheap these days, you may want to check out amazon for new or used.
Good luck with your adventures!0
