  • Thanks! Truthfully, I'm just trying to move more - I try and get 10,000 steps a day (I have a FitBit Zip which I LOVE). I also do at least 30 mins of cardio 6 days a week. I also have really worked to vary my workouts - some running, some elliptical, some walking, and wii zumba every now & then. I've also tried to keep…
  • Thanks everyone!!! I just keep going with it each day. I try not to lament about things from yesterday or worry about things that could happen tomorrow. It's made it easier to shake off the hiccups here and there.
  • Thanks all for the kind words! I'm pumped about it all, I've seriously never felt better! It's amazing how making small changes can add up to big results. It's kind of hard to believe that just 2 months ago I was so sedentary and unhealthy. @MaraDiaz - the boobs thing totally cracked me up too!! She thought I had a new…
  • CONGRATS!!!! I can't wait to hit One-Derland and have that moment!!!! : )
  • Great work!!! And congrats on your hard work so far, you're well over halfway to your goal -- that's fantastic!!!
  • That's awesome!!! Congrats!!!
  • at the top of the screen there are arrows next to where the date is. Just click on them to advance the date! : )
  • I LOVE my FitBit!! My company gave them to us as a part of a wellness program and I am "addicted"! It is so dynamic and works so well with MFP... for instance, if you do a lot of walking one day it will up your "Cals burned" in MFP so you can eat more to balance out your cals in / out. My company gave us Zips and I'm so…
  • Thanks for the kind words everyone! : )
  • You're doing great! Don't get discouraged!!! I recently ran into a stall myself. I figured out I wasn't eating enough calories -- it felt so counterintuitive, I was full! Once I added in more snacks / cals I started losing again. I also have a FitBit Zip (it syncs with MFP) and that has been really helpful to see just how…
  • I definitely did! The only thing that broke it was upping my calories. It seemed so counterintuitive, but it worked within a day or two and I dropped 3 - 4 pounds almost right away. Good luck!
  • Sure thing! It's easy to get pulled off track by outside forces - but you clearly know what to do chica! You're kickin' butt at this!!!
  • Not sure if this would help you, but here's how I would handle it. I would grab a pen and paper and write down what my "truths" were. For instance: "I have lost 12 pounds." "I know how to eat responsibly." "Eating healthful balanced meals gives me energy." etc. That way I could duck out of the room, pull it out and…
  • Have you looked into Fitbit? I have one and it is superb at catching active times and adjusting my "exercise" to match. It pairs well with MFP as the two sites / aps talk to each other. I am on my feet for half the week at work and it can update my "Calories burned thru exercise" line up to as many as 600 calories or so...…
  • I had a similar issue just the past two days - tried a new routine (admittedly, my muscles are sore today) and the scale went up 2 - 3 lbs overnight! Hard not to feel slightly bummed, even tho logic says its just water / not fat.
  • I LOVE the LMFAO station for working out too!
  • I totally feel you on that! It's one of those things that you can easily forget about, but it's a total victory in and of itself. Now that I don't take them anymore it's kind of crazy to think that the things I was eating, or the soda I was drinking, was creating such a toxic soup I had to take Tums a lot! Ick!
  • Thanks for the sweet words all!! It's a start - and I like where I'm headed.
  • Thanks for the kind words!!! : )
