I would say it would be what you put in your coffee that would be problematic and not caffiene itself. There is no way in hell I would ever cut out coffee from my diet.. lol

Welcome!! I agree this is a great site!! It's so empowering to be able to see just how much we have been putting into our mouths.. I really like how more aware I am of what I am eating.. I am FINALLY in control and damn it feels great!

It might be a bit of a tough adjustment to begin with but after a while you may find you have more energy.. I get up at 3.10am for the gym and granted I am usually asleep by 9pm I find by the end of the week I am not a zombie like I used to be when overwieght and eating crap all the time..

Weekly is more than enough otherwise as you have discovered you will drive yourself crazy doing it more often. Some people even do it monthly as weight can fluctuate by the week.. I guess there is no right answer..

Omigosh swimming will be so good for you!!! especially if you are carrying a bit more weight - no pressure on your joints in the pool!! The other people at the pool will have their own issues they are dealing with so forget about them and do this FOR YOU! Swimming laps is a great all body work out.. even aqua jogging or…

Durign the week it is easy to pre-log as I will pretty much eat the same thing - breakfast is the same, so it lunch etc.. Also I try and make food for most of the week on Sunday (ie a big stire fry and portion it up for 2-3 days) so that makes it easy too. I am not very adventurous when it comes to eating..

hormones, water retention, it's just how it goes.. One week is nothing in the grand scheme of things so I wouldn't stress too much - especially if you know you have been sticking to your plan..

personally I don't care what people think abotu what I am eating etc.. mind you I DO have supportive friends and family.. but I do this for ME.. not for anyone else..

I don't think one or two days in a row under 1200 will do too much damage.. what I *am* concerned about is your family.. do they know you are trying to lose weight and be healthier? cause giving you chocolates etc is down right rude!

There is no scientific studies on this so I would take it with a grain of salt in regards to it being a weight loss remedy.
