Luciicul Week 3, Monday PW: 142.6 lbs CW: 140.0 lbs In the maintenance zone  Has been a pretty good week, getting back into a good routine again after COVID (exercise, sleep, getting my daughter to school, study). It's feeling almost "back to normal" here in Australia - so much so that I took my daughter out to…

Not often since I started eating the way I do now (liberal LCHF & IF), but when I do feel hunger it is usually some combination of: A) What I last ate. If I eat processed carbs, it can trigger hunger (sugar rush/crash cycle), while when I eat meals with plenty of protein, healthy fats, wholefoods, etc i am less likely to…

Yeah, it’s pretty normal for me too that Monday is often the “high point” weightwise, after the weekend. Long term is what counts 😀

Luciicul Week 2, Monday PW: 144.4 lbs CW: 142.6 lbs In the maintenance zone  My eating is all on track, but last week exercise went out the window. Just trying to get used to new routine of getting my daughter to school again, and have to give myself a talking to about going to bed earlier and getting up earlier so…

It took me 11 months to lose 55 kgs, which is faster than most (and starting from a class 3 obese position), so I would suggest giving yourself a bit longer than 6 months if you wish to lose 30kgs so you are not disappointed. I did liberal LCHF wholefoods and intermittent fasting. The book The Obesity Code by Dr Jason Fung…

This is what I use my microwave for. I defrost my frozen berries on medium for about 1 minute 20 seconds to have with my yoghurt. But if you'd rather let them thaw naturally overnight... It helps if you piggyback on an existing habit (something else you already do every night), so that it becomes the habit that every time…

Yep, sure thing. I'm thinking in kilos anyway, and then translating to pounds.

@WishfulThinning18 So sorry to hear about how difficult things are at the moment - inequality, injustice, conflict, chaos, violence, and you in the middle of it. Even as I see the footage from the other side of the world, I can't imagine what it would like to be living among it. I find it hard to watch. It makes me so…

Hi (or should I say "G'day, mate"?)! I'm Australian, and mum to a teen. I've been maintaining a healthy weight for five months now, since January this year. When I began this challenge, in February 2019, I was class 3 obese, weighed 119.5kg (263.5 lbs), had insulin resistance, a sluggish thyroid, and was an epic snorer.…

@lesdarts180 I'm sorry to hear your son needs chemo - I can imagine how hard is must be to not be able to with him and the rest of the family at this time. Best wishes.

I have had similar challenge with proper form push ups. It's still a work in progress for me, but what I've learned so far:* Strengthen your core with other exercises like plank and bird dog * Start with a lesser angle; against a wall, table, bench, or staircase where upper body is higher than lower body * Tuck your…

Depends on why you are doing intermittent fasting, and which style and protocol you are following. The form of IF I follow, I usually stick to water only. It's not just about the calories, its about reducing insulin, and maximising other processes (like autophagy) that ramp up when our body is in an unfed state. Our body…

Well said @AnnPT77 ! @xx1chloe5xx if you are worried, I would suggest getting a doctor's checkup and they can let you know whether it is a health concern or nothing to stress about.

@Kukkie157 you've posted this question in the forum "Goal: Maintaining Weight" which isn't aimed at weight loss. You might be better to post in one of the forums or groups that are aimed at losing weight.

Luciicul Monday Week 4 PW: 144.4 lbs CW: 141.1 lbs Still in the maintenance zone :) My goal for this month was really just to 'keep on track' (nothing too ambitious) and I'm pleased to say I've done that reasonably well. There have been a few wobbles, and my sleep patterns are slipping a little (staying up too late), but…

"Strive together" that's interesting to learn, and very good to know at this time

How totally adorable... Thanks for sharing cute baby pics! So sorry your daughter is in such a tough situation - can't believe military haven't got some kind of process to take into consideration child care needs - whether that be providing it to employees or letting her stay at home in the meanwhile. Court marshalling…

Good on you for doing this. I hadn't heard about #IRunWithMaud before, though of course did hear about Ahmaud Arbery's tragic and senseless murder. Thanks for the video link, was good material. Lots of laughs, but also unfortunately, on this topic, comes with a sense of guilt, frustration and hopelessness. Another good…

Yeah, I don't bother weighing or logging food or exercise, because in the past I've found this unsustainable long term (for me). Throwing together a salad or meal is so much easier when not splitting hairs about logging - especially when cooking for multiple people who might need more or less than me (different serving…
