Very well put. :) /agree

Thank you. I am the only reason I am fat. I never once said different.

And how do you know those people aren't just assuming the obese person is making excuses? We all make assumptions, but those assumptions do not prove we are correct, just sometimes a**es. (not calling you an a**, just pointing out the old assume = a** out of you and me thing.) Obesity is an issue and yes, mostly caused by…

I said no such thing. Now you are reaching. I was a fat baby from a medical condition. I got fat in childhood because not only did I eat a full plate at dinner, I would then over consume a box of oreos or cake or whatever was around me because I have a sweet tooth. OVEREATING made me fat. Did you not read the remarks in…

Those are not the people I refer too. :) Tough love is sometimes very necessary and I do agree 90% of the time people are not losing because they aren't being honest in their logging. The ones I refer to are those that very obviously have an issue with obesity and make comments toward it. There are several in this thread…

/giggles - my hubby commented something similar the other day LOL @2Poufs - that is totally awesome! (Our snowbirders start coming in September too, but I for one love them, or well, most of them :) ) You guys are all doing so well!

I've been fat shamed IRL all my flippin life. I had a diabetic mother and was born 11 lbs 12 oz, I was sort of destined to be big, and no not saying that caused me to be fat later on in life. I couldn't have sweets at home so I made up for it every other place I went. (Not saying sugar causes obesity, btw, it was just my…

LOL Yes, I so want the king. Sooo smexy! (sarcasm)

No cheesecake? Say wut? I wonder what I should call the one I'm cooking for my type 1 diabetic mother tonight..... No sugar of course and completely low carb....... And delicious. It took me 3 weeks OP to adjust to the diet, but I never had any energy issues or went through the keto flu. Some say to up your salt intake if…

My hubby got bored real fast with keto in general despite super fast 51 lbs gone. I suggested carb cycling to him, but it remains to be seen if he can handle the low carb days or not at this point. Meh.

Days when I go through a lot of stress worrying about money and life in general, I calm myself down by reminding myself these three things: I have a roof over my head I have food on my table And I have a family that loves me. Works every time.

Nice mix of nationalities and areas! North Florida has a nice fall usually. Already substantially cooler than it was last month which I am loving. This is the best time of year to go to the beach to me. Less obnoxious tourists and the water is always prettier in the fall and winter on the gulf side. :)

+1 Yep..... I tried to give it up, I missed it. In fact I'm drinking it right now..... Yum.

Hubby had a job interview this morning (prayers up that he gets it!) and stopped by Chik Fil A on his way back. He's fallen off LC and ended up buying 4 12 piece boxes of nuggets, fried since they don't do grilled in the mornings, bringing 2 to me. OMG..... They smelled so good and I LOVE Chik-fil-a nuggets, but 20 carbs a…

Florida, near Panama City!

I weigh every morning, butt naked, after I pee, and before I shower. Mon - Fri I get up super early, Sat- Sun I sleep in. Saturday's weight is the weight I record or take seriously. The rest of them just help me gauge water retention and such. At this point it's habit, but I know I'm going to weigh more the rest of the…

Some people like to read other people's feeds on their homepage and be supportive that way. No harm in asking for more friends. :)

oops, wrong quote LOL

It gets better. :) Week 3-4 was the worst for me. Scale wouldn't drop, I felt miserable, exercising was tedious at best, and I honestly was over analyzing every little thing. I took magnesium citrate for the bathroom issue and drank Propel for electrolyte balances along with putting a little extra salt onto my food. I…

I love KK and they are awesome when they are hot and fresh. They melt in your mouth. I won't buy the ones in gas stations and what not. Nope, gotta come straight from the source! But we have two local bakeries that put them to shame. I'd pick local fresh homemade doughnuts over commercial fried ones any day. But doughnuts…

And why these days I only have so much faith in my calorie counting being accurate. :) I was always going, "how the heck do they know this for sure?" They don't. I can make educated guesses too LOL! Sunnybunny - I loved MapMyWalk and was using it to start with, but stopped when I realized it wasn't meshing well with my…

Eh, I never bothered to learn.

Awesome! You look great and congratulations!!

When I was in high school, which god was forever ago it seems, I had a friend who was 6'2", skinny as a bean pole. He'd eat 4 lunch trays at lunch and then all the leftovers from every one elses. He is also the only person I have ever known to be kicked out of a buffet..... My husband was there when it happened and I know…

I second the salt suggestion. I thought it was kinda crazy myself, but it worked on my water retention issue I posted in the low carbers group. :)

I do that! I hated cutting up chickens until I learned how to do it properly. Now it's easy! Somedays I really love the net. :)

I like ground beef and roasts medium to well, but I want my steaks still mooing when they're plopped on my plate. :P Everyone has to start somewhere Mami. Cooking is pretty easy to me and always an adventure LOL.

I use my crockpot weekly and when I do a roast I sear it for a few minutes before putting it in there. Love a good roast and have a great recipe for caveman pulled pork. Sounds yummy!

I have a Fitbit. It does the negative calorie thing to me as well, but Fitbit keeps tracks of calories all day long; they increase as it gets closer to midnight and if I am more active, so I might not see a deduction until late that evening if I haven't taken many steps. Does the Jawbone not do this? Also, in the MFP app…
