You're a vegetarian and you finding it hard? Just what exactly are you eating...? Veg and fruit are pretty low cal and I'm finding 1200 is easy as hell.

You've heard they are bad for your heart - because they are. Don't do it. Easy fixes are tempting but do you really want to tempt damaging your heart or even having a heart attack?

Losing weight is hard. MFP is not. It pretty much maps it all out for you...You just have to use it properly.

My rules = stick to my calorie deficit. Turns out, it's working pretty well and I'm nearly at goal at 2 months in. Delicious carbs!

5lbs is easy. Stick to the calories MFP gave you when you signed up. Plan ahead, eat anything you want...as long as it fits into your calories. 80% good nutritious food, 20% a little treat or not so great to not make you feel deprived. 30 day shred would probably be good since you don't have a lot to lose. It's on youtube.…

I'm noticing a lot of processed food which is fine in moderation but more veggies fruit and lean protein wouldn't hurt.

Starvation mode does not exist. The fact that she's lost 1lb proves this. A 1lb in less than a week is great.
