Swing and a miss. My son missed a nice bird on Sat. Started out nasty with some snow sleet mix and the birds were quiet. Once the weather cooperated the birds were very active. Was a great day out spending time with my son and my buddy.

Some guys just have a knack for it. There's a shed hunting club my buddy belongs to and some train dogs to find sheds.

I have only found them by accident also. Mostly when I start scouting for spring turkey. I have found around 10 or so over the years. One of my buddies friends shed hunts and finds 30-40 a year.

Not good here either. I did get a buck in Oct. and have been out with my son and daughter and haven't seen much. Our gun season closed Sat so have to wait until after Christmas to hunt for doe.

I'm a taxidermist. if you take as much meat of as you can and let the rest get hard you can take a tungsten carbide dremel bit and grind the rest off.

I used to go peepless , but wasn't completely accurate. Once I put the peep on my groups got tighter.

Our youth season starts April 26th and the statewide season is May 3rd. Can't wait to get out and chase them in the youth season for my son. This will be his last youth season, so we are excited.
