Just started back up this week. I lost 85 pounds 3 years ago and then went in to a hard spot in life and ended up gaining it all back. BUT I know I can lose it because I did before. I'd like to re-lose that 85 and maybe another 10. I'm 50 so I hope it's ok I'm in here  I'm sticking with 1200-1400 calories, I'm…

Starting back with intentional eating. I think just having a plan is the hardest part. I've been doing my plan for a few days and needed to keep track and so I'm back. I'd love to have some friends on the same path as me!

He looks perfectly healthy to me! I would explain to him that it is much more important to you to BE HEALTHY and to EAT HEALTHY, than what you weigh....it just so happens that when you do healthy things like exercising and eating healthy, that you do lose weight, IF YOU NEED TO......I would probably only discuss HEALTHY in…

Here is what has worked the best for me: 1. I plan to get up every morning at 5:15 to do my "sweating to the oldies" tape....if I decide the night before that I really did need extra rest, I reset my alarm for one hour later, sleep in, and do my workout tape either at lunch time or after work. I NEVER EVER EVER hit the…

I PERSONALLY have a problem with sugar.......if I eat very much of it at a time, I turn in to someone that will literally attack the pantry looking for more sugar.....I've learned to take in very small amounts at a time.......I have some kind of turn on switch in my head and sugar is the key. The less sugar I take in, the…

If something is being said to you in a MEAN way, delete them. If something was being said to you in a constructive way, asking you to take a look at your food diary and re-evaluate your food choices--then listen to them. I mean, this is a tool that we are using for weight loss. I've had people mention to me that I drop off…

sorry, just one more post! (my kids would be laughing their heads off right now, I always have "just one more thing" to say!) This is what I DO NOT DO--I don't hit the snooze, I don't say I'm exercising in the morning or after work or at noon and then decide THEN that I don't want to----I don't put my workout clothes on,…

This may help you---I started working out an hour in the morning and an hour at lunch....the lunch workout was supposed to be a bonus but quickly became mandatory in my mind......turned in to a "rule"......I came up with a new rule....If I "NEED" something more than the exercise then I substitute it. For example, I was up…

Good Idea! I do know that I was taking a "one-a day vitamin for women" and I still had almost no Vitamin D in my system.....some of us just don't know how to hold on to our Vitamin D apparently! I hope getting a blood test gives you some obvious answers!

^^^^^^^^^^THIS THIS THIS............I had the same experience!! I was so depressed at the thought that I would always feel this "LOW".......I wanted to take a short nap at red lights! My doctor did the blood work, my vitamin D was almost non-existent, she put me on about 6,000 units a day and I feel AMAZING.........This…

I would have disagreed with you before and said that I can lose weight and still eat Taco Bell occasionally AND actually I would allow myself Taco Bell IF I wanted it.....the thing is I am getting much more excited about getting the inside of my body HEALTHY and not just about losing weight. Not everyone has the "healthy"…

I had no trouble losing at first, then I just stayed at a weight. At someone's advice, I checked my sodium, carb, and sugar levels. Right before I stopped losing, all of those had gone way up. I immediately kept my sugars at around 30 a day, my sodium under 2500 and my carbs below 150. I ate healthier too as a result! My 2…

I think you can wear what you want, until you notice all the 20 year olds laughing as you go by......then it might be time to take a good hard look.....I'm amazed at how oblivious people are on "what not to wear" and how they don't notice how others are looking at them. I think "classy" doesn't have an age! :flowerforyou:
