thanks, y'all. I definitely limit my sodium at home, and know when I overdo it if we go out.

I was eating 1200 and under calories and lost 22 lbs. Then I got stuck ... the scale would go up a few ounces, down a few ounces, up a pound, etc. Checked my BMR and TDEE and upped my calories to 1600-1900 and I've lost two pounds. It's nice to see the scale move again!

ok. :breathe: I just haven't eaten that many calories in 6 weeks. It's a little frightening.

5'8" and currently at 192. Want to get to 160, so 32 lbs. I've already lost 23.

well, for me: 1. when I work out, I find I am generally not as hungry 2. now that I've gotten out of the habit of having "second dinner" I don't want to eat past 8 (or 9) pm anymore. (So if I find myself at 1100 calories at 8pm, sometimes I just shrug) 3. I found twice last week I only ate 800(ish) calories over the course…

thanks everyone! I got him to go for a walk with me today so that is progress. I told him about this site, but I can tell he just isn't ready for hardcore working out/exercising/getting fit himself. I appreciate your feedback!

My summer goal is 175. My 1 year goal is 160. I would like to comfortably wear a 2 piece this summer but if it doesn't happen, I will be happy enough to do it next year.

absolutely. When I looked at serving size and how much food was on my plate, I was shocked at the difference. Knowing what I am eating is empowering. I still eat what I want but all in moderation, aka, within calorie limits. I set a goal of exercising 3 times a week. That's it. So if I miss a day, it isn't the end of the…

have you thought about recalculating your cal based on your new weight? (using it as your starting weight) From what I understand, your body needs a different calorie amount once you weigh less.

I cut out soda, am watching my calories, and am exercising three times a week for 45 minutes each. I am trying to make good choices, food wise ... I switched to almond milk from 2% cow milk, upped my veggie intake, and stopped eating my kids' leftovers.
-
I switched to seltzer water (plain and flavored) so I can still feel like I'm having something special, although it doesn't have all the yucky things diet soda has in it.

right now, every day after I wake up and pee. I know that is "bad" but right now I like it.

I didn't have a scale on Jan 1 but got one about 2 weeks in. Since getting the scale, I've lost 9 but I was losing before that ... so I'm estimating 18.

I've already told my H we are going to the carribean once I hit my goal weight ... I will be thin enough then to rock a bikini and I intend to :)
