Hello everyone, haven't been here in a very long time, so much has happened in our life. Sold one house, bought another 1600 miles away, grand daughter joined Air Force, and I could go on. Happily I haven't gained any weight but haven't lost any either so I figure I'm ahead of the game. Esther is that the "Married Man"…

Hey Sparkle what part of Dublin do you live in? I have cousins in Raheny.

Janice sorry about Rocky. We lost our Mandy in much the same way. For us we had one of her puppies, Lucky, so it made it a little easier. We did end up getting another puppy, Scamper, so when Lucky's time came we still had the one. Scamp was one of the smartest dogs, doesn't everyone say that, we have ever had. Now we are…

I always said you have to love those teenage girls. :) I know I had two of them 17months apart. Boy was that fun. Day is starting out here really beautiful. Going to take a ride down to Fargo just for something to do. Sunday is a kick back day for us. No cooking, no cleaning just hanging out with each other. You would…

Grand-daughters birthday today and Mom gets a Coldstone ice cream cake. Yum. How can you tell a child "No, Grandma really shouldn't have cake on your birthday." At least I didn't have to take any home. End up sharing with the youngest one. She eats the most of it and Grandma saves face. hey Esther you know Ketchikan is…

@vicky1947mfp Just saw your post on the other thread. We're in North Dakota. Not strange for us to have snow still on the ground this time of year but it's been gone for a while now and I really don't want to see it again till next winter. We'll be going to North Carolina soon. Our daughter lives there with her family and…

Wow was I surprised by all the posts over there. Very overwhelming and so impersonal. This is like coming home. Very comfortable being open here with all you kind ladies. Felt like giving up until I got Connie's message. It's been so nice and warm here. Unfortunately we're being told we might get some snow on Monday. One…

Ray the blood work gets done every 3 months so I know about those needles. For me the trick is to drink plenty of water before I go so they can find the vein. One time they had to take it from the top of my hand cause they couldn't find a vein. Now that was bad. Hey Marie glad you made it safe to your destination. Have fun…

Yeah Connie I do the same thing. It was cold out this morning but still wore light weight clothes. Always take my shoes off too. :) He was happy with me since I did lose some weight since my last visit and my A1C was in a more respectable place.

Just back from the doctor. How come their scale is never the same as mine. :) I prefer mine to theirs. Kind of over did yesterday with no real workout. Oh well back to the regular routine and I'll be right back on track. Have another visit in 4 months and I'm going to have to do as good as I did this time or better. Eileen

Wow Shirley what a beautiful baby. Congratulations. I joined this challenge the end of January not expecting to much but have really surprised myself. The support here is fabulous. I have been in the 180's for a long time. Up a pound, down a pound but never leaving the 180's till now. SW 185 CW 177 lose for this challenge…

Thank you Ray, I have to say the encouragement that we get from this group of wonderful ladies is fantastic. I also am very blessed to have a wonderful husband that backs me 100%. I did make the mistake of getting him a Fitbit. It's kind of become a game to see how many steps we can get. He wins all the time with his 45k…

I wasn't going to but since I've read these posts this morning you ladies and your loses are giving me the nudge I need to go downstairs and get on the treadmill. I really just feel like sitting here and falling asleep. I'm off to the treadmill knowing I'll feel much better when I'm through. Eileen

Like so many of you I'll be glad when this winter is over and it warms up again. I am so looking forward to going out and walking after dinner. One of the nice things about living here is that when summer comes the sun stays up to almost 10 pm. Makes for a great time to walk. My week has been great. I have a loss of 1.6…

Wow everyone seems to be doing real good. Although I don't post much I sure do read it all. This has kept me going on days when I feel like quitting. Such positive reinforcement. This week I only lost .2 pounds but I'll take it. It's going in the right direction at least and it's below the 180 mark which I haven't been in…

Finally getting back into the swing of things. I'm back up to my 15,000 steps. The weigh-in is going to be a little bit tricky since I haven't been eating normal meals which is not good for me trying to keep my BS numbers level. I figure another week and I'll be back completely. On a great note the snow has been melting…

//www.fitbit.com/user/284T9Z Both my husband and I have the HR's. got them in Feb. He's been averaging 35,000 steps a day and before I got sick I was up to 15,000. Today he did 46,000 steps. The only problem we've had with them is we tend not to sit down to much. :)

Hi All, I agree with the 20# goal. Not that I'm going to make it either but it is a start. The day is starting out to be great here. Our temps are in the mid 30's and we have some major melt going on. Just possible to see most of our snow gone by mid week and for North Dakota that's saying something. SW185 CW177 GW 150 It…

Well I didn't lose any but I didn't gain either. Have been increasing my steps so I'm up to 15,000 a day. I think it helps having my husband as a kind of push. He usually gets in 30,000 steps but then he's on the treadmill for 3 hours. I don't know how he does it but he does. It's been a loving rivalry since we both got…

Well I'm another one with the one pound gain. I don't worry about it cause I know from past experience that it's up one day and down the next. We're supposed to be waking up to a -24 tomorrow and wind chill -35. I don't think I'll be going anywhere.
-
Well I was down 1 pound for my weigh in. At least it's in the right direction. Last couple of days haven't gotten my steps in and it doesn't look like it's going to happen tomorrow either. Supposed to be down to -15 wind chill tomorrow. We ended up getting another 2 inches of snow which isn't to bad considering this has…

Let me introduce myself. My name is Eileen and I'm 64yo. I'm in for this but I have to admit I'm already of to a rocky start. Not feeling to well today and will be babysitting all next week. Hopefully we'll be able to take the baby out for long walks, it's been rather cold here. SW 185 UGW 140-150

I'm in. Will be starting at the gym in about a week due to other commitments.
-
I'm in. Today I did 10,615 steps. I think it works out to be about 3 miles. Just starting again after a long lay off. Have to try to start going to the gym again.

The holidays mean I bake. Usually enough for an army. I have to sample them too. So at night I just get on the treadmill for 30 minutes and say I'll be better the next day. I know it'll take time to take off the weight I put on over the years because that's how it works if I want it to last. The encouragement we get from…

You can add me. //www.fitbit.com/user/284T9Z Got my Force a couple of weeks ago and then got real sick so I haven't been keeping track. I was up to 17,000 steps. Going to have to work up to that again.

I have felt the same way as you. I know something is happening because my clothes fit better but the scale is telling me I'm not changing. One day I'm sure some of these extra pounds will come off if I stick with my program. For me I just have to remember what my husband always tells me I didn't put this extra weight on…
