Thanks for the responses. I think I'll stick with weighing in every day for now. I tend to procrastinate and I think if I moved it to only once a week, I'd be tempted to "eat now, worry later" and would get discouraged and give up. Maybe my weight won't fluctuate so much after I get a good amount of the weight off.

I'm 5'9. Kinda weird to see all these posts and yet I have the largest size. One day I'll be like all of you in smaller sizes though. SW:299, size 26. CW:279, but still in a 26, although they are beginning to be loose.

Perhaps you are gaining muscle while burning fat, thus keeping the scale the same, but melting inches. Way to go! By gaining that muscle, it should help burn fat easier.
