I am 5'10" started at 230, now at 207ish (I don't weigh every day) ....I have done 1200 cal, hell I have gone as low as 700 cal a day. I lost fast for about a month, then just stopped losing. Period. Fought for every quarter pound loss after that for a year....gave up, gained back ten pounds, found LC, lost some again, but…

Oh I love this thread so much! JUST started and am excited to progress even though I am embarrassed to even say what I am able to lift now. But....I guess we all have to start somewhere?

Awesome job! I just did my very first comparison of photos...not a big difference, but it IS nice to see any kind of progress. You have come a long way and I have faith you will get to where you want!

Cool! Got it!

Yes, you need to eat more. All the science that wabmester said. I am now finding this out the hard way as I was eating like that, without any carb binges AND trying to work out and lift weights. Put myself flat up against a,big oke wall. Now I am trying to make some adjustments.

I think, that like me, you need to relax. It's only been three weeks. There are more variables than just your carb count involved as well. What kind of deficit you are maintaining, how much/often you exercise, how well you log. I don't really think your one Easter hootenanny (forgot how much I love that word) will keep you…

I am just going to pop in here and say that I am going to try this little experiment for this weekend, just to see 1) How many calories I actually will eat if I eat til Iam not hungry and 2) If I can do it without freaking out

You may find some help here http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group I do agree that you should speak to your Dr before starting any kind of eating plan, but yes, Atkins may work for you depending on your situation.

I bought one when I first started dieting, my original cincher was a 4x, the last one I ordered was a XL. They really make a difference, even when I take it off. I've now started wearing corsets also. Waist training definitely works when your consistent!!!![/quote] Be careful....though most don't do true corset training...…

I literally cackled out loud at this. My dogs are now concerned about my sanity.

Hmm...I have yet to get to "plain butter" level. I do put butter in broth though. Do you have any bullion cubes?
-
I have used pure maple syrup to sweeten certain fat bombs....one tbls per batch, which made twelve servings. Came out to 3g carbs per. And they were incredibly better than the same recipe with stevia in it. Did not cause cravings that I can recall.

Annatto is an orange‑red condiment and food coloring derived from the seeds of the achiote tree. It is often used to impart a yellow or orange color to foods, but sometimes also for its flavor and aroma. Per: Wikipedia Geeez...

And here I am! LOL! http://www.ruled.me/keto-calculator/ This guy's site is awesome all the way around. Great recipes! Oh, edit to say I try and keep mine at 20g or less total, and that's kind of really really low. Though not Goat level low....

Twice in the last two days friends have made comments on the weight I have lost. I still don't see it much, so it's nice to hear that something must be happening!
-
Oh yeah, I forgot about the bloating! Because now I no longer feel out of breath after eating. My stomach no longer bloats so big that it pushes on my already hyperexpanded lungs!
-
Hmm...I will now have to search for this coffee!

I got back on the scale LOL. It's a double lung transplant. I have talked to my Doctors, they have no clue. They are pulmonologists and nephrologists and various other ologists, one of which told me not to lift because I would get bulky. It's amazing how narrow a bead on things these doctors have. The emotional part and…

That's what I am hoping. I like the motivation.

Oh! I am up for a dexa scan soon...supposed to just be to check bone density (because of long term pred use) but I am going to ask them to tell be BF% too! Don't know why I am excited cause I imagine it's disgusting high, but I guess knowing is a good thing.

ROFL! Oh I am SO figuring this out lately......
-
I don't know if it counts if it's someone you know outside of the gym also....she's my cardiologist. Beach vollyball player, blonde, yeah......though I have to say that the crush got a little crushed when she told me I shouldn't lift weights or I would get "bulky" :/

Just want to thank everyone who was helpful and update that the stall has ended and I am losing steadily once again. Continuing on with my training and progressing!! Oh! Also got the Dr to wean me down a bit from the Prednisone so I am incredibly happy about that. Thanks MFPers!!!
