  • Thank you! Will be a long road ahead, back in the hospital again but still going to their gym everyday LOL!
  • Hahahahaha it replaced my swear word with kitten!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO
  • Not really enough info to answer that question for you. How long have you been at this? Do you weigh your food? If not you may be eating more than you think you are. It really does take sooooo much patience.
  • I believe I would like to try this. I had started the practice, but injured myself so fell out of it for awhile. I deal with a lot of stress as I am waiting for a double lung transplant and found that the yoga, as Vune mentioned, helps with all the racing thoughts and anxiety. Edit cause: autocorrect!
  • Good points. Low BP has put me in the hospital twice, once ending up in ICU
  • You may want to see a cardiologist, just to be sure. That being said, if you are otherwise in good heath, and the sensation goes away quickly, there is probably nothing to be too concerned about. I have a few very serious health issues, one of which is congestive heart failure and another is pulmonary hypertension (high bp…
  • Nice! And the feeling better is the best part : )
  • I am on a slew of different meds, more than my 80 year old Gran takes. I have a lung disease called LAMs, and am waiting to be listed for a double lung transplant. There are two that make it very hard to lose weight, a heart medication and the EVIL PREDNISONE. I have, however, managed to lose 30 pounds so far. It's been a…
  • Thanks! Going to try for some soup. I know its all common sense, but I just feel groggy and stupid right now LOL
  • Go in with a plan as the above poster mentioned. It helps that "lost" feeling when you have an objective. Also, as the above above poster mentioned, a change in perspective towards the "meatheads" might be in order. You are only serving to intimidate yourself that way. I go three times a week, lugging an oxygen tank around…
  • There are so many free yoga routines on YouTube. Different styles, levels, etc....I have two favorite instructors. Yoga with Adrienne and a guy named Rodney Yes...just a way to see if it's something you'll like before you spend money in a program.
  • I would say closest to hourglass. Which is pretty awesome IMO.
  • This is what I had come to understand as well. I have tried both ways and definitely felt better with my knees doing below parallel. Yes, she was only doing body weight squats. Question on squats though, if I am feeling soreness in one ankle after, what could I be doing wrong? Regardless, if the lady at the desk has…
  • Ahhh, I know, I just thought it was funny. The client looked to be in way better shape than I, however. Who knows, I was making light, not trying to offend. Though from the sessions I have seen of them, and I have seen a few, it is def. the high rep low weight variety.
  • Is saw a personal trainer in my gym the other day (the woman I am ranting about is not a PT, she is a cardiac rehab therapist). She was instructing her female client on how to do squats. I know there is some debate over proper form in the "parallel" or "*kitten* to grass" schools of thought. I myself squat all the way…
  • I don't have a very good poker face. I am sure she knew I was not amused. Might say something to her, might not.
  • I have never tried another gym, I am not sure they would let me join, or I just join a straight up weight lifting gym where people don't look at you weird for deadlifting. But mostly it's the comments from staff that get me. All the guys that go there give me my space and respect what I am at least trying to accomplish.…
  • That is what I keep telling myself whenever they comment. I am sooooo bulky now that I can fit into jeans I haven't worn in almost two years ROFL
  • @SezxyStef I tried to explain a little, and that I had researched many different programs and the benefits and so on. I have only been lifting for about four months now, and have made, for me, much progress. She threw back something about endurance and slow twitch muscle fiber so that I can carry things....she does have a…
  • @DirrtyH I can only think that they feel that it's ok to comment about my getting bulky because I am already fat. I worried about that at first too until I understood better what weight lifting would do. Now I have seen the exact opposite. Mind you I still have a long way to go, but I am seeing results with lifting and…
  • @LyndseyLovesToLift It's sad that she is not the first person there to tell me that. She was just a lot more judgey about it. I would go to a different gym, but I am kind of stuck at this one. I will just ignore her, I guess, or maybe I will just tell her off the next time I see her, I haven't quite decided yet.
  • @FitStrongHealthy She is a trainer who does the cardiac rehab at the Wellness Center, has a degree in exercise physiology. I think that's why at first I was confused by her attitude (and there WAS an attitude). I guess I should just try and find it funny. And your husband will see and love your results, I am sure!…
  • When you realize that yes, your underpants are now too big as they slide down your bum every time you stand up or sit down. I had never experienced this one until last week...smh....was stunned.
  • Thank you Cosmo, Victoria's Secret, and the fashion and diet industry everywhere for seriously $%#@ing us all up!
  • I had not taken measurements in awhile....so when I took them for this....I have lost 3" off my waist, 2" off my hips and 4" from around my bust/ribcage.... :)
  • Glad that was it. I searched the forums for "body image perception" and came across someone else who had been looking and someone answered them. I went and tried it too...I apparently think I am a great deal larger than I am. Have a hard time with that...
  • Ha! Found it! http://www.marisota.co.uk/shop/freeformat/page.action?pageId=7758 At least I think this is what you were looking for...
  • I do remember that post, but can't find it either!
  • @vixtris I hope so too! Our bass player doesn't want to play out anymore, she's over it. So we may look for a new one. Trouble is that in Florida they still allow smoking in bars and other non food venues....and I can't go into places like that. Hopefully we can work something out though!!!!
  • Thanks!! Went through three tanks of o2 that night (though I kept stepping on my hose ROFL) and lived to tell about it!
