Body shape help! hourglass or inverted triangle

I've recently lost about 50 pounds and I feel like my body figure has changed a bit. I used to have very little waistline definition and now I can see that I do have a waistline. I just need help figuring out my new body type because I want to look up new clothes to wear that would fit me. I feel like I am either a n hourglass or an inverted triangle because my measurements are 34-25-36. My shoulders are square and broad with a width of 16 inches and a circumference of 36 inches. I definitely am not an Apple anymore nor pear shaped.
So my question is am I an inverted triangle or an hourglass?

I would say closest to hourglass. Which is pretty awesome IMO.0

Hour glass, for sure. Look at you with a 25" waist! Nice job!0

Thanks guys, what kind of clothes will suit me? I'm very new to this0

You may need to go shopping with a friend that you trust to tell you how clothes look on you. I lost about 60 pounds and I had to find new clothes because nothing fit. One of my co-workers will tell me whenever I wear anything if I need to toss it because it is too big and doesn't look good on me. It may take some trial and error to see what fits you well and looks good on you.0

Nice waist! Jealous!
You can wear anything. Might as well accentuate that waist though.0 -

You're an hourglass. You're close to my measurements (35-25-37). The main thing I've noticed is that clothes that are fitted in the waist are the most flattering. These loose, billowy tops that are in don't do us any favors. I have the best luck with the Juniors department for little dresses and things-- they're more likely to fit tighter to the midsection.0

@ILiftHeavyAcrylics I actually like those type of tops too, but hourglass can't make it work?0

They cover your waist and hips and won't make you look as small and shapely as you are.0 -

If you like the way you look in them then go for it. Personally though I feel like they make those of us with small waists look a lot thicker than we are.0 -
Fitted and tailored is the way to go. Tops that curve in for the waist. Darts are good in a blouse. For bottoms you want slim silhouette skirts and pants for the most part. How tall you are matters, and you also need to work out your torso to legs proportion. Some high or low waisted items will look off-balance depending on which section of you is longer. Finally, don't forget about colors. Just because a color is our favorite doesn't mean that our skin and hair tone love it too. Me, I'm a winter. Yellow-based tones make me look sallow and sickly. I can wear a blue undertone red and look terrific, but a yellowed toned red makes me look ill. And my olive skin looks even more green in hot pink shirts. Colors are best determined in natural light.
Have fun shopping!0 -

I'd say hourglass before even looking because of the measurements "36-24-36" in Baby Got Back.0

You can report it for deletion if you want. Just click the flag under the original post, click "report" and then choose "this is my post and I want to delete it."

I can't view the image, it says "removed." Anyway if you are 36 24 36 then the proper name for your body shape is "hot."0
