Check out my ticker! That is proof that walking is a legitimate form of exercise! Walking was my main form of exercise through my journey.

I too was terrified about maintenance. The first few months were the hardest, as I learned my maintenance calories, I lost a further 9 pounds after reaching my goal. But now it seems to be smooth sailing. I didn't lose weight with many restrictions, yes I had a calorie deficit, but I didn't restrict what I ate. I eat now…

I am 5' 2.75", or I say I am 5'3". Highest ever weight was 235lbs, while pregnant with my daughter. Starting weight when I made the conscience effort to lose weight was 215lbs! This picture is me at 215lbs! Here is me at goal weight, 125lbs! I have since lost another 9lbs, no pictures tho.

I have a new coworker, who didn't know me before my weight loss. I was discussing with her warm clothes for the North (we live in Northern Canada), and I was telling her different clothing that I've found that worked. She said "yeah, you must be cold all the time you are like what? 100lbs?" She is a small woman who I seen…

I have 2 Labs, 1 chocolate (5 year old female, mother of the black one) and 1 black (3 year old female). My chocolate lab isn't that great on a leash and I don't enjoy walking her where she has to be on a leash. My Black lab on the other hand is wonderful, my kids call her my buddy. She goes everywhere with me. She runs…

In for ideas! 12 days into a Gluten Free diet for the same reason as OP.

I chose my goal weight based on what I was pre-pregnancy, and what was a healthy weight for my height. I chose 1 goal weight my body chose another. My body settled 8 lbs below what I had chose.

Once I was within 5 lbs of my goal weight, I slowly started to bump up calories, to hit maintenance. Once I hit my goal weight, and continued to bump up calories, I continued to lose weight, and lost another 8 lbs, then my body seemed to settle where it was most comfortable. I've been comfortably maintaining for about 5-6…

I couldn't have said it better myself. Like you, once I hit my goal, counting calories became an obsession. After hitting maintenance, I went on to lose a further 8 lbs while still tracking calories. Many times I found I was eating mainly because MFP said I should. I made the decision to stop tracking calories. I've been…

Starting weight: 215lbs Bra Size: DD38 Current weight: 118lbs Bra Size: DD32 I am 5'2". The girls have only deflated, and my band size shrunk. I could easily do 30, but its so hard to find. Both sizes were measured at the store.

I reached goal in November, 125lbs. With trying to stabilize maintenance, I lost a further 7 lbs over 2.5 months. My body seems to have finally settled where it wants to be. Loving the new life, activity, and eating. You're body will adjust when it sees fit, just keep doing what you are doing. There is no magic formula for…

Get outside and ditch the treadmill! There is so much more to see and a change in scenery is a great motivator. You can go so much further. You never get bored outside!

This was me, for 10 years. One day I woke up and realized, no one is taking care of me, myself included. My kids are at a good age, they are currently 10.5 and 6.5, they no longer need constant watching. In that 10 years, I let myself go, badly. I was 100lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, and couldn't move and play around…

I stick to a 3-5lb window as well. Typically I stay within 3lbs, but during my time of the month it could go 5lbs.

Amazing! Goes to show you can do anything you put your mind to!

Love love love!!!!!! Excellent read! Very true!

Congrats on reaching your goal. I reached goal in November, and in trying to find my maintenance I lost a further 7lbs. I am on day 3 of not counting calories, as I needed a mental break from the numbers. It was messing with my head. But I am confident I have gained enough knowledge over the last 3 years of portion…

I didn't read all the responses so forgive me if what I say has already been said. Losing weight is not an over night fix. It took years for you to be where you are and in this 'predicament'. It will take time for you to lose the weight. Weight loss is not a temporary fix, it should be a lifestyle change. Its not a diet,…

Love this post! So very true! This has been the hardest thing I have ever done emotionally. And no, I don't look or feel the same as I did when I was this weight 12 years ago. At 115lbs, I thought I was fat.....I would give anything to look like that now. 2 babies later, plus a big weight loss, its not going to happen for…

I don't log everyday walking, like around the house, at work. But I do log intentional going for a walk for exercise. Walking has been my main source of exercise for over a year now.

I made this this evening, my kids love it! http://thewholesomedish.com/one-pot-wonder-chicken-lo-mein/ I added more veggies then called for tho. Ready in 30 mins, can't go wrong!

I don't have pictures either, but I have lost 96lbs. I do have excess skin which sometimes for me is hard to see past. However, I am 29, 30 soon, and I believe that my skin looks great for someone who has lost this amount of weight. Most of my excess skin is on my tummy, and my thighs, as this was where I carried my…

My kids are getting older now, both in school full time, and we live in a very small town. I try to get something in when they are at school, if I can't, DH is home in the evenings. Some days, when i work a 12 hour day, depending how I feel, I may not get out. I prefer to work out outside, or at Boot Camp. I don't do well…

Hi Ladies, I am Robyn, 29, and I live in a very isolated community in the Great White North. DH and I have been married for 8 years, together for 12. We have 2 children, DS 10 and DD 6. We are also a foster home, so we usually have another child residing with us as well. We also have 2 Lab Retrievers (4 year old Chocolate…

Def see a doctor. I suffer iron deficiency anemia, and experience periods of what you are describing often, multiple times a day actually. I can't take supplements because it causes other issues for me. Iron is a very important mineral for our bodies. While red meat contains lots of iron, other sources I use to help are…

Hi, i am also a busy mom of 2 children, 10 and 6, and 2 furbabies (2 Labrador Retrievers) We are also a foster home. Both my husband and I work full time. I work 12 hour shifts, days and nights. Maintaining home, work, children, dogs, husband and myself keeps me super busy. After 7 years of focusing 100% of my attention…
