I have lost a lot of weight with walking as my main source of exercise while eating in deficit. It definitely depends on the terrain, your speed, distance, your weight/height, your fitness level....so many factors to take into consideration. For example, (i've tested this with my Polar FT4 HRM) I'm 5'3" was 130 lbs when I…

I usually cook with Arctic Char (similar to Salmon) thats freshly caught by my husband. We also do Cod when we can get it.

I'm bumping too!

225ish 215 (official starting weight) 125 (UGW)

I lost weight only 2 weeks out of the month, or my cycle. The week after ovulation and the week of AF I wouldn't lose anything, maybe gain some water weight and bloat, then the 2 weeks after AF i would lose up to 3-4lbs in 2 weeks. Overall I lost on average 0.75-1lb a week.

I live in Northern Canada, where temperatures frequently dip below -40C and we are snow covered for just about 7-8 months of the year. When temps are between -30C and -40C, I still get out to walk most daily. Walking in snow, for me, burns on average 200 calories MORE then walking on the dirt road for 1 hour. I also like…

I have a 5 lbs window I like to stay in. I am only newly maintaining, for now. May lose a few extra lbs.

Breastfeeding never made me lose weight like many women. For some women its the opposite.

2009: ~225lbs 2010: Initial starting weight: 215lbs 2013: 122lbs

I am 5'3", and 122lbs, and maintaining on 1500-1600 calories, give or take. Since entering maintenance, its been the Christmas season, so I haven't been exercising regularly. I will be eating back most of my exercise calories.

Before, 215lbs After, 122lbs

Thank you everyone! Hard work and determination certainly pays off!

Technically I am up 1 lb.....but that's probably just normal weight fluctuations. I am still within my 5lb window, so I am good.

Great job! You look amazing!

I'm so sick of hearing this comment. I also hear things like "you are invisible", "you needs to gain weight for the winter to keep warm", "theres nothing left to you!", "you are what? like 70lbs?". I am 5'3", 122lbs, I am FAR from too skinny, I am int he perfectly healthy range for my height . I guess they are so used to…

This 'diet' has worked for me as well. Everything in moderation and within my calorie goals, and I am down 93lbs! The only thing i gave up 3 years ago is soda. I don't eat a lot of take out simply because we don't even have a restaurant in my town, but when I travel I take advantage. Chips are my weakness.

I am 5'3" and my starting weight was 215lbs, currently I am 123lbs. My UGW was 125lbs, so I have surpassed that. My new goal is to tone and build strength plus maybe another 5-8 lbs, we will see. I lost 65lbs initially, through deficit and treadmill. Then I lost all motivation and took a year off, and in that time gained…

I've dealt with this my whole life. At 115lbs (5'3"), I thought I was fat. Then I gained 100lbs over the course of 7-8 years, and would have given anything to be that 'fat' 115lbs again. Now I am at my temporary goal weight, 123lbs, and wanting to try to get back that 115lbs. Will it make me feel skinny? No, I know now not…

Awesome work! Amazing transformation!

I also agree with time! I think some people scar better then others too, genetics and complexion. My youngest is 6 and mine are finally faded to the point that you can't see them unless you are up close and looking for them. I have some really deep grooves going on, and unless i am feeling around for them, I can't see them.

AMAZING work!

I am 5'3", 126 lbs and wearing a 4-6 depending on the brand.

What you are describing is 100% normal after loosing a lot of weight. I am 1 lb from my final goal, for a total of 90 lbs lost. I have went from a size 18 jeans and xxl shirts, to a size 4 jeans and xs/s shirts. I struggle daily with how I feel. Many days I feel gross, and fat, feels like I didn't accomplish anything. I…

I am 29, will be 30 in May. I have 1 lb to go for my goal, for a total of 90 lbs, but am thinking of going down another 5-10 lbs. Feel free to add me!

This is me. I breastfed both my babies. I was 19 when my son was born, I went into it thinking breastfeeding was the ONLY way to feed my baby, formula wasn't an option. But I was also aware that maybe I can't, maybe I will not be able to breastfeed him. After he was born, and latched, breast WAS the only way. He was nursed…

Congrats on your loss! I am also in the home stretch......just 1 lb to go! We got this! I'm also nervous and scared about maintenance. I plan to start lifting once I hit my goal, to form some new goals!

Thank you captmiddy, I think that makes sense. Keep that in mind for next time. For this time, I had tripled the original recipe, and weighed out what batter was left. It was roughly 1/3 of the batter. I figured it out that way.
-
I have done that, but how do you break that down into the actual calories used. For example, I used flour, baking powder, unsweetened coconut milk and eggs. That total weight came to 1418g (already subtracted the weight of the bowl). I used 951g of that for my fish. Because I had 951g of batter left, i am unsure how much…
