I know many people will say walking is not a "work out", however, I will have to argue. I was 215lbs about 5-6 years ago. I have never set foot in a gym to work out, I am unable to follow routines such as programs in front of my TV or computer. I had a treadmill and used that for the first year or so, got bored with that…

I have chronic anemia all my adult life. I am able to exercise with no issues. Your body will tell you if what you are doing is too much.

I could have wrote your post! This was totally me! I reached goal weight about 3 years ago, and transitioned to maintenance. It was hard. I was very obsessive about the numbers. I lost more weight as I increased my calorie intake. Eventually I realized that I had to stop, to trust myself with all that I had learned in my…

I know what you are going through, I went through a similar situation last year with my Dad. His PCP knew he had prostate cancer before the rest of the scans and biopsy. It was hard, a hard pill to swallow. He had his prostate removed last June, and has required no further treatments, other than routine blood work. If the…

I have 2 Labrador Retrievers. The younger one (puppy of the older one) is my walking/hiking buddy. She goes everywhere with me. When she was first born I wasn't so active, but when I became active she LOVED my new activity. I like to do a lot of hiking on the hills around my community, she is always up for the challenge,…

I noticed the same thing. I have been in maintenance for a year, and for the most part feel amazing with where I am. But, as soon as the scale creeps up, I feel like I am that 215lbs woman again. I am still scared that I will slip up and regress back to that person, but at the same time I am confident I can keep it off.

Everyone before me has made some great suggestions and points. For me, I have my range I stick to. Its a 3 lbs window. Once I get to the top of that range keep a close eye on things. If I pass that range by more then 2-3 lbs, then its time to re-evaluate what I've been doing, ie. eating more salty foods, not enough water,…

Ditto the walking! I lost most of my weight walking! Over time, I added in hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, did some running until an injury, and some body weight exercises. Walking is very low impact, and everyone can do it! Start out slow and increase time and distance when you feel ready!

I lost 100lbs, and went from DD36 down to C32. I've never been this small chested in my adult life!

Mine has been resized several times, up and down. I waited till I hit my 1 year mark of maintenance before having them resized to what will hopefully be their FINAL size. I wore the ring snuggies for a while, and eventually even those didn't keep them on my fingers. I went from a size 8 to 5.5, could have done a 5, but…

I'm 5'2.75". Highest (not pregnant): 215lbs Lowest: 115 (before 1st pregnancy) Current: My maintenance range is 115-118lbs

I can relate, as we already discussed. I was there. It was hard. You need to break that mental block against eating more, or only eating 1400 cals. My goal was 125lbs, I lost a further 9-10 lbs bringing me to 115-116 as my final weight. With loggin, I couldn't bring myself to eat up to my calorie goal. I see it getting…

I put chia seeds in Oatmeal, make chia seed pudding, add it to baking recipes, smoothies, add them to things like homemade burgers and sauces, salads. You can add chia seeds anywhere, and for the most part you aren't even going to notice them there.

I have to agree with the person above me. This is a lifestyle change not just for myself, but my family, I have a husband and 4 children (only 2 are mine). I cook 1 main meal per day (dinner), and for the most part we all eat the same. Breakfast and lunch is whatever they like. My main meal consists usually of lean meats,…

I've been iron deficient anemic all my adult life. I manage to bring my hemoglobin levels up on my own, but can't seem to get my iron stores up. I have really heavy periods, so by the time I get it up, it quickly goes back down with AF. The doc wants me on supplements, but I can't handle supplements (I also suffer IBS-C).…

I am newly gluten free (since the end of February), so I am still learning. I have the same issues you have. I was diagnosed with IBS-C. I tested negative for celiacs and other allergies. I have been eating a LOW FODMAP diet to combat this with wonderful results. I have done a trial of gluten on a few occasions that ended…

I had the same relationship with food that you are describing. I hit my goal of 125lbs in November, giving me a 90lbs weight loss. I tried to maintain, but I found it very difficult to eat more, and be ok with it. I upped my calories slowly when I was within 5-8lbs of my goal. I continued increasing, until I stopped losing…

At my biggest I was wearing a DD38 (probably incorrect size). 100lbs later I am now wearing a D32. I have breastfeeding 2 children/deflated/weightloss boobs. Fine as long as I keep them in a bra, not so fine when the bra comes off!

I lost 100lbs, and it took me 3 years. Mind you, I did take a 9 month 'break' (aka fell off the wagon). Been maintaining for 3 months.

100lbs ago people thought I was pushing late 30s, never got ID'd anywhere. Now I get ID'd, and told I don't look a day older then 18! I just turned 30!

I am 5" 2.75" and maintain between 116-118lbs. Seems this is where my body is comfortable.

I am been in Maintenance since November technically, but have only actually started maintaining in March successfully. I am no expert on maintenance, but I have to say I had the same fears you and many others express. These fears I believe has caused me to lose more weight then I had planned, however, my body seems to have…

I am going against the grain of what everyone else is saying. To me it wasn't worth it. Its exciting at first, but the novelty of it wears off rather quickly. Also, I had no luck with the Fitbit Flex. My unit was a piece of junk, and their customer service sucked as well. I ended up returning it to my retailer. The numbers…

I was 115lbs when I graduated highschool. Gained a ton of weight from pregnancies, and antidepressants. I am currently maintaining between 116-118lbs. I have been as heavy as 215lbs (not pregnant). I am 5'3".

I began slowly easing into maintenance when I was about 5-8lbs from goal, upping calories weekly. Goal weight was 125lbs. As I slowly reached goal and tried to settle into my maintenance calories, I lost a further 9 lbs, and my body seemed to have settled where it wanted. I have been maintaining between 116-118lbs since…
