Today will be day 5 for me. I learnt about 30DS on the forums and decided to give it a go, following the 2days on, 1 day off (cardio only) approach.. But then I keep reading about everyone's amazing results and seeing the before & after pics and I am inspired to just keep on going! Tips I learnt from others before…

Definitely a post I need to come back to!

A few other ideas.. * Salmon mornay (use in place of tuna) * Salmon dip - salmon, cottage cheese, little diced onion for a kick. Great on rice cakes with tomato etc * Salmon Rice Pie (recipe below - not sure the calorie count) BASE: 3cup cooked rice (white or brown), 1 tbl butter, 1 beaten egg, Cook rice. While still hot,…

Hi... I created my own exercise under cardio, and log in the values from my HRM... So far I have done 3 days of level 1, and my calories burned have range from mid 140s to mid 160s.... The HRM is new, and I have checked its results against other monitors, so I am sure its working OK.....

Someone on MFP has this quote on their ticker (and apologies for stealing it - but I love it).. ............... "Sweat is fat crying "............................... And I should have read the post 2 up before submitting this :ohwell:

Love vegemite - but since it now belongs to a US company, I have moved on to Mighty Mite - made by a good old local Aussie company (Three 3's).. Its definitely not the same in taste and texture, but I am going to stick it out and try to give the little guys a chance.. As for toast/ sandwiches/ rice cakes ideas- * vegemite…

I am dreaming of the time when I can leave my 14E's (36E) and hopefully drop down to a D or DD. It will be sad to see the girls go - but oh the shopping I will do! Going to start saving now!!

That is an awesome result... I am starting day 1 tomorrow, and would be happy if I could achieve half of your result at the end of the 30days. Well done!

After feeling blah after a few days of Easter excess, I am now feeling motivated and inspired to get back on track. First day of the month tomorrow - first day of my new focus. Thank you Sara.

Hey Kat... I'm in Sydney, and on here most days .....

I'm not wanting to focus just on McDonald's - but here in Australia everything in McDonalds (aka Macca's) has a calorie count, which helps you to make wiser, safer choices from what they have for sale... We get to choose from salads, fresh fruit, healthier wraps etc. Calrorie count is next to each piece on the menu board,…

Haven't tried any of this yet myself, but got this list of substitution potentials for Chobani at my local supermarket: 1 cup butter = 1/4 cup Chobani + 1/2 cup butter .........for mashed potato, biscuits or cakes 1 cup oil = 3/4 cup Chobani ................. for brownies, biscuits, cakes, pancakes 1 cup sour cream = 1 cup…

Was super organized, had bought eggs last week in prep for the Easter weekend... Have just been sick with cold & laryngitis for the last week and half and guess what? No gym time, an extra 1.5 kgs and no more eggs left !!!! Not happy Jan !!!!

I tend to stick to the Nice & Natural nut bars, or just little 40gr snack packs of walnuts, almonds, cashews..... Enough proteins and good fats. I seem to find other bars a little fake tasting and too sweet

If the doctors can't/ won't help, I'd think of seeing a dietician or nutritionist - who should be able to help you with the right way and right foods to help

OMG - could you walk after you did that? I can hardly get through 10mins on the arc - can't imagine the burn of 60 ... I am in awe...

You've convinced me to join in the weigh & measure once a month. I have been doing a sneaky weigh each morning, but will accept the challenge to hold back for March. Had a new gym assessment at the weekend - want to see what impact the changes will make. Thanks for the inspiration!

Have you considered Pilates? Focus is on core strength - and you find muscles you - never knew existed! Tonight I did a different Aquarobics class - my stomach muscles were switched on for almost the whole 45 mins. I never considered it possible to effectively do equivalent of a Boxercise class in water ... I may not be…

I love that Fran! My other thoughts are 'its not a diet, it's a living'...

I agree with Karen's comments. Greek yogurt also tends to be thicker in texture - and with the extra protein make you feel fuller.

Gotta go for Scott Johnson led Scotland team... Have never met a nicer, gentler man in rugby (well, maybe John Eales) - though he's looking more prop than 5/8th these days. Roll on the Lions tour to my fair land - will be interesting to see what the Wobblies will be able to produce....

Advice to me from a dietician - eat more raw nuts or yogurt (a dense one, like Chobani is better). Both have protein, which can make you feel fuller for longer. And I have just bought quinoa for the first time - is meant to be healthier, and seems packed with calories as well as iron, protein etc.

I am a newbie, and getting used to the whole tracking thing. My problem - like others - is trying to work work out the macro balance right within the calorie limit. And why am I in this place? Years of going 'low fat' - which I am trying to undo and retrain the taste buds, lack of exercise, and yes - under-eating. If there…
