  • Maybe you ate a load of salty food and you are temporarily retaining fluids. It's not scientifically possible for you to have gained 2lbs of fat based on those calorie numbers. Just give it a few days and realize you are in it for the longer term, not just a day to day level on the scale.
  • Best cleanse I know is a big pack of figs. Eat them up and then BOOM - cleansed.
  • I am eating 2130 a day plus most of my exercise calories and am averaging 1.8 lbs a week at the moment. 2130 is my "sedentary level", and I would not book all the walking I do in my job and with the dog etc.
  • So if I moved some furniture or mowed the lawn etc. I wouldn't count that in MFP as a burn - it's just a bonus that adds up to a bit of extra weight loss over time. I only log exercise at the gym or on the walking machine at home and I get calories from my FT40. Then I allow myself to eat them all back up.
  • Record everything. That way you'll better understand how weight loss works and how no-linear it can be. I am finding it very motivational to see how I stall then whoosh off a big amount of weight as I go along.
  • Excuse: You don't need to lose weight, you already have a wife Answer: And I bet she loves sleeping with a fat b*stard
  • I hit my tenth time in the gym today, a small NSV there. First one was a struggle, but I am finding it easier to go, and almost getting itchy to get back in there. I find the best way to do it is to take my kindle, get on the elliptical machine and just read. Or take an iPad and watch something. Just fool your brain into…
  • Every morning so far this week. But decided that I am going to take my neck, hip, waist measurements once a week
