So don't exercise. The single most important health factor right now is getting your weight down. Walk if you can - if not, don't sweat it (ha ha - see what I did there). What matters for weight loss is a calorie deficit. Try to get 100g of protein a day, it will help minimize muscle loss.

Will be 50 in October! You can do this!

Foods low in calories such as cucumbers (and that is what they make pickles out of) are so low in calories, that a serving size is below what food manufacturers are required to report.
-
It all counts as water, as long as it's not alcohol. Caffeine is only a weak diuretic - you need to drinki 7 cups before you hit the hydrated/dehydrate line.
-
:ohwell: How many weight lifters struggle to increase their leg size? A lot, because leg size is largely determined by genetics. I have known runners with muscular legs and weight lifters with bird legs.
-
Never feel guilty about food. As long as you are hitting your macros and micros, eat what you like.
-
You likely have a strength discrepancy between your sides, but that will diminish and you continue to bench press. It's one of the things that makes free weights such a good way to go - you can't cheat and still get the bar up there.

I know you think it is. But it really does prove the point I was trying to make by posting that particular verse. One can be quite wise by worldy standards (high IQ, etc.) yet still not be able to see truths and concepts which are really quite simple. At any rate, I have not meant to offend, but you obviously are sore on…
-
And where exactly has it been proven to be a farce? You are certainly welcome to your viewpoints, but not to make false claims.
-
You are not understanding the verse. I would be the last person to fight critical thinking, being a scientist.

Money can heal a broken heart? Oh dear.

OMG. You win the internet.

Excellent progress! Keep up the good work! :drinker:

Dopamine is released when we eat any food, not just sugar.
-
Was all of that because they had a sugar 'addiction'? Or because they were overweight from eating too much. There are plenty of obese people who do not have a sweet tooth. How do you explain them?
-
Great job! :drinker:
-
So your conclusion is that all apple shaped women have tight psoas muscles? That does not compute.
-
Calm down. Seriously, this is not helpful.

That is a news article written by a journalist who happens to be at Princeton. That is all.
-
She likely assumes that you are eating your eating exercise calories back, so the numbers she mentioned would be your net.

Fantastic interview! Thank you taunto! MireyGal:heart:

If sugar was a drug, people would be raiding beet and sugar cane fields in order to gnaw out some sugar to beat their withdrawals. Until someone holds up a grocery store and says "Give me all your sugar" I will go with evidence based conclusions.
-
With all due respect, those are blogs, not evidence. They are peoples' opinions. There is absolutely zero evidence that sugar is addictive any more than protein is. Food in general stimulates our pleasure center because we need it to survive. Our bodies reward us for eating.
-
Instead of worrying about the sugar macro, I replaced it with fiber. My most important goal to hit is protein (at LEAST 1g/lb of lean body mass). Then everything else goes to either fat or carbohydrates, I don't pay much attention. Your breakfast is lacking in protein and that is likely the reason you feel 'snackish'…
-
While it is nice to have a goal, what are you going to do after the wedding? Think in terms of the rest of your life. Make lifestyle changes that are permanent! Good luck ladies and congratulations!

We did a family trip to Mauii and it rained and was COLD! the entire time. A week of rotten weather. The natives were complaining that they were having to actually turn on the heat. It sucked. I hope your vacation turns out better.

I agree with both posts. I went through this exact thing with my daughter. My husband was understanding about it. I ended up in a sleeping bag on her floor until he came woke me up at some time in the night. I only had to do that for a few weeks until she got used to her room. Keeping the doors open is a great idea, and…

Sugar is not toxic, first off. And from what you are describing it sounds as if you are not getting enough in the way of carbohydrates.
