I'm having the same issue. I hope we get some answers here...

You look hot!! Love the muscles!

Yes!! This so much. My husband forgets that I am very choosy about what I will eat now that I am determined to lose this weight. He shows love by providing food, and I was only too happy to receive it in the first 5 years of our marriage! lol Now I have to retrain myself and train him, because most of my life I have been…

Here in California, we are still in school lockdown. My daughter is in High School and doing everything online. I see my neighbors setting up schools and gyms in their garages. I am very impressed by those who have been so creative during these tough times. <3 On a side note, in the last 2 days I have had unmasked people…

Hi there! I really don't know anything about the Versa Lite, though I am a dedicated FitBit user and have an Alta. Have you tried contacting the company with your questions? I hope you get clarity! :)

Fantastic!! You should be very proud! :) :flowerforyou:

Hello everyone! CW 125 GW 115 Goals - 1. Stop eating at the end of the day when I've hit my goal! I have a tendency to suffer from low blood sugar, and it can really drop at around 9 pm, but if I hang in there, eventually it reverses itself. 😲 2. Walk 7000 steps/day (up from 5000). That's it! Thank you all for being here…

I am trying to do the 40/30/30 also. I'm such a carb eater, that I find it challenging to get all the protein I need without the carbs. Good luck!

I love the saying 'abs are made in the kitchen'. If you are troubled by wobbly thighs, it means you have fat stored there. Doing lunges and squats plus a calorie deficit (the SINGLE most important variable) is the only thing that will chip away at wobbly thighs. It took me quite a while to retrain my husband about food.…

You said you it's impossible for you to lose weight. It is impossible for you NOT to as long as you eat in a deficit day after day. It might be DIFFICULT (not impossible) for you and your doctor to find this number, but it exists.

Well, Slimming World would lose out on the money they make off of her if she was to realize that weight loss is extremely simple. And they use all kinds of little tools to keep their clients boggled. She has obviously fallen for it hook line and sinker, but people like her are the reason that diets don't work - especially…

Oh dear - I meant to quote OP!! But actually your husband sounds like he might need some fine-tuning as well. lol

My husband is a family counselor and he knows better than to make any remarks about my body except to say that he thinks I am burning hot. And that is after I have gained some weight since we have met. He encourages me when I tell him that I am losing weight, as long as I don't go too far with it (I have in the past). You…

Hi there! I am in the same weight-loss boat as you. :) The only magic number is the difference between how many calories you consume vs how many calories you burn each day. I find that I am less hungry if I eat fewer carbs (I'm at 40% now) and more protein (very important) and more fat (less important). I know many who…

OMG! From my favorite movie of all time! This is epic.

13 years to be exact. :#

Oh yes. I'm better now because of medication, but if something upsets me I can end up in bed for a day. I just take it one day at a time - exercise definitely helps. You are not alone friend!

Hello everyone! Ribeye for me all the way. I'm 55 and am an ex fitness junky. I injured a foot and developed CRPS, so the most I can do now is walk. Luckily I love walking! I have some lbs to shed - felt sorry for myself, ate lots of chocolate, and stayed in bed for about a year. Fortunately, I recovered from my depression…

BMI is a broad indicator of a 'healthy' weight. What I would be interested in, is what is your bone structure? Are you medium boned, light or heavy? You can do a couple of measurements to figure this out. If you are medium boned, you are going to look bony at the low end of a healthy BMI. A light boned person would not. If…

Very late to this discussion, hoping you arr still active here. Will send friend request.

I think I will check out that Omni hiking, thank you for the suggestions! IPhone does tracking grades, but enters them as "floors climbed". I used to have a fitbit, but it stopped talking to MyFitness Pal. After trying everything that is listed for troubleshooting, I just stopped wearing it. But it was fantastic. Thank you…

Thank you both for your replies. I think I will start using fitness pal to calc calories burned. I don’t know why the IPhone calc is so strange.

A lot of it has to do with the shape of your face. I can't get away with pixie cuts because I have a rectangular face. If you have an oval, square or a circular face I believe those are best. Google it though, just to be sure. :) Oops. Guess I was wrong! Though they still don't have the rectangle..

For me, I can't make it between noon and 6 without a snack. Except for days that I am fasting of course.

For my weight loss(es) I have found that going by what the food package says has done just fine for me. OP, I know that most lifters do not eat back their lifting calories spent. Perhaps you might try that? And definitely get a food scale, so you can weigh everything that is not prepackaged. Good luck!!

-
Not really - as I said, fasting does good things for my body, so I am keeping it up but to just one day a week. Doing it the way you do it has also been shown to be beneficial.

People have no idea what skinny means anymore. You are slim, slender, not skinny because you have no bones sticking out. You have more of a banana shape, which is just your body type. Enjoy, you are beautiful and healthy.
