Oh, and Counter Culture coffee is great, too. It's what they serve almost everywhere on my college's campus. They had a blend with peach notes that was great! I don't know that they have it anymore, but all their coffees are great.

Most of the brands sold at Costco are really good. Both the Kirkland Colombian and the Magnum Exotics Jamaica Blue Mountain Blend are both good choices. Local definitely has its perks, but the convenience of Costco makes it worth it for me. Agree on grinding it yourself. Makes a world of difference, and I'm not even a…

I aim for 1200. Today I had: Breakfast - 1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt 0%, 60g Strawberries (~2), 30g Blackberries, .5 oz Nut Mix Lunch - Guacamole Deviled Eggs (Made w/ 6 whites. Filling: 1.5 yolks, 4 tbsp guac, 1 tbsp low fat mayo) Snack - A few slices of full fat cheese. 1/2 a bell pepper and a Laughing Cow wedge. 1 String…

Homemade ice cream with almond milk (in a ziploc bag). Only like 30 calories :)

Overnight oats are my FAVORITE! Or Greek yogurt w/ homemade granola and fruits. Unfortunately I'm low carbing right now and those aren't really options :( Boo. SO! For now, my go-to's are a yogurt, berry and nut parfait (no oats or granola) or some chicken sausage + egg or egg whites. For all you yogurt eaters: if you…

If you're hungry, sure! If you're not, then you don't need to eat. As long as you hit your goals *most* days (I usually just make sure my weekly average looks good...not necessarily each and every day being perfect), you don't need to make up for that deficit for a day. Unless you want to eat bread I mean...in which case,…

Nothing wrong with a little PB! My brother eats 2 big spoonfuls of it everyday for breakfast and he is quite fit (collegiate athlete...I am jealous). Beyond calories, watch out for trans fats (if you didn't know, they can list trans fats as 0g if it has <.5g/serving...which can add up if you are having it every day)...just…

Mango Peach is so yummy!

Home and outside! I'm surprised how few people said gym.

Sorry I'm quoting after so many days, but what about a border collie? I have one...she's old now (15) and has rickety joints and can't run, but when they are young they are FAST and highly energetic. Would make an excellent running partner!

I tweaked a "KFC Copycat" recipe I found and it turned out great. 1 bag Shredded Cole Slaw Mix 1 small diced Onion 1/2 cup Light Mayo 5 tbsp Light Cream 3 tbsp Unsweetened Almond Milk (You can use regular milk) 4 tbsp Cider Vinegar ~1/4 cup Truvia Salt + Pepper to Taste Put all ingredients except cole slaw and onion in a…

This made me LOL. I actually have 4 dogs - the golden I mentioned before, 2 14+ year olds so no long runs for them, and 1 chunky little Morkie that can't go too far, so he's impractical to take on rungs. The last of those pups gets a nice little walk on the treadmill every now and then...lol the vet said it's actually a…

I love running with my dog! 1, he's a ball of energy and needs the exercise. 2, I am a ball of fluff and I need the exercise ;) And 3, seeing him enjoying himself on our runs makes it so much easier to keep going than to head home! I use a Halti-Collar on him while we run, otherwise he is just dragging me behind him as he…

Ummm when I eat "bad" foods (or rather really delicious foods that don't regularly fit into my daily calorie allowance...eh hem) my body basically screams "THAT WAS DELICIOUS MORE PLEASE NOW". That would really suck if I felt THAT bad after eating not-so-healthy food. I mean...if my body starts rejecting bacon, I will…

OAS sucks :( My allergist told me if you avoid the allergen completely for a few years, you may become "un-allergic" to it. Though I suppose that doesn't help you right now.. I'll be following this to see if anyone knows any helpful tips! Good luck :)

4 oz for 110 calories is raw :) 4 oz of chicken raw will go to ~3 oz when it's cooked. So if you forget to weigh the chicken before cooking, just add about a third of it's cooked weight to see how much you have. I buy the same chicken, haha

I do something in between...I have a good sized breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but I also leave room for a nice afternoon snack and dessert (I have to have dessert......darn you sweet tooth). I think it keeps me from being TOO hungry at the next meal and overeating then. But of course that doesn't work for everyone. Like a…

I'd personally skip them, but only b/c I think it would just be a WHOLE lot cheaper (and not that much less convenient, really) to buy the ingredients separately and just make a salad? Lol. Plus then ya know, less processed, you have more control over what goes in, etc etc etc. Personal choice though!

I think if your biggest diet mistake is eating one kind of Greek yogurt vs another, you're doing fine, haha. I'd say have it just so it doesn't go to waste and just fit it into your calories. If it isn't ideal for your diet/lifestyle plan, then just grab the other lower fat one next time. Don't stress about it :)

Bump...no one else carb counts??
-
The calories in what I *thought* was a serving of pasta...bread, skin (like on meat), granola, nuts, jelly, some non-light yogurts, bananas, corn, beans, smoothies, and most recently - OLIVES. They're crazy!
-
Peanut butter or any nut butter for sure.
-
Shirataki noodles....I can deal with almost any "substitutes" for unhealthy foods (i.e. plain Greek Yogurt for sour cream, Truvia/Splenda for sugar, Fat Free/No Sugar Added ice cream instead of Ben & Jerry's) but I cannot handle Shirataki noodles. They are SO SO SO SO SO SO SO bad.

Yum! Yeah I forgot to mention it's a little dry lol I guess that's what happens when you have very little fat. Adding applesauce would definitely be a good idea!
-
marie Hmmm I don't think the fiber powder is totally necessary, maybe add a little extra of the protein powder so it's not too liquidy :) Give it a shot! Let me know how it works :)

Nobody likes peanut butter cookies?! Bump :(

5'4"...at 135 I'm a 4, at 125 I'm a 2, at 120 I'm a 0.

Dessert! Omg I have the absolute worst sweet tooth.

^^ THIS I lost weight a few years ago doing the 1200 cals/day thing not paying attention to carbs, protein, fat, etc. I gained a good amount back and this second go-round trying to lose, I didn't lose a pound for 3 months (with lots of different calorie counts, different amts of exercise, etc.) until I started looking at…

120 cals?! Gimmie. Gimmie the whole pan.
