  • I have never worn a bikini without something over the top, like a cover up. I have worked my *kitten* off for six months and this summer, I'm going to get in one if it's the last thing I do - I have wasted my entire twenties hiding a pot belly and worrying about my small chest and it stops NOW  my tummy has always…
  • You need to eat more  don't worry - it sounds crazy but it does work - fuel your body properly and it will reward you. Keep up the good work!
  • I have completed insanity, and I too would not recommend any other cardio whilst you're doing it. The days where I had to do an Insanity workout then jump straight on my bike to go to work were an absolute nightmare :indifferent:
  • Dark chocolate, cocoa orange Nakd bars, Pulsin maple crunch protein snack, apple with nut butter to dip it in and greek yogurt with granola. I just packed my bag for my night shift and nearly all of those are in there
  • It is me  I have loathed (I'm afraid that is the only word strong enough) my tummy for about 10 years and hidden it away, I wouldn't even wear a bikini on the beach. I've made so much progress since sorting out my diet, I have always been an active person but I either under-ate, or ate the wrong things all the time.…
  • Thank you :flowerforyou: I also love that I just read this while spooning Nutella into my smoothie...one spoon for the blender, one for me..... Thanks everyone for their responses, I really do love this site! Gonna carry on eating my avocados with a smile on my face
  • Hahaha - THIS goes on in our house too  Although in the last month, when I got my body fat % to the point where my abs are becoming noticeable, he has suddenly decided he wants to eat like me and it is SO much easier now...especially as he is a FAR better cook than me
  • It is hard when you are living with others - I know I struggled at first when my boyfriend and I moved in together (thankfully he's come round to my way of eating....during the week anyway  ) It must be harder when you are still at home and have even less control over the shopping. You could ask for smaller portions…
  • I don't agree with this I'm afraid. Maybe in some cases you are right but this does not apply to all of us who buy home workouts. I have been running for years, but I am now a runner that has recently decided to mix up my workouts. Unfortunately there is no gym near my house (plenty of beautiful places to run and cycle…
  • Ooh now I'm confused! I've been eating far more protein than that, 130 - 150g, but I can't lift heavy because I don't have access to a gym. I do body weight exercises though and squats/lunges/shoulder presses/bicep curls and other bits and bobs with 4 and 5kg dumbells. I would love to do a proper lifting program but its…
  • Ah thank you :flowerforyou: I've worked really hard but there is a little bit left at the bottom that I would like to shift if I can
  • What on earth is a "fruitarian"
  • THIS makes me smile
  • Thank you :flowerforyou: I always hit my protein goal without fail, its the carbs I don't hit...which is funny because when all the exercise I did was distance running I was a complete carb-a-holic, living off bread and pasta. I don't miss pasta at all but I do like a wholemeal English muffin with nut butter hahaha (oh…
  • I have lost scale weight just counting calories, but I was still unhappy with my body. I only got the shape I wanted when I paid close attention to macros as well as calories.
  • I find that if I have less fat I can't meet my calorie goal, which is odd. If I were to go down to 20% fat I'd have to cut out some of my favourite things! (a Dragonfly walnut and almond burger mashed with avocado...mmmmm) I guess I will have to decide what I want more
  • I do this nearly every day
  • Quest Cookies and Cream :-) I wish they were in shops in the UK though, it's so expensive buying online (but I do it anyway because they are brilliant). Greek yogurt with whey protein blended in, string cheese, tuna, turkey....then more greek yogurt  I used to struggle too but now I'm finding it really easy, it's…
  • ^this. I am flat chested, with hardly any difference between my waist and hips. I have an athletic shape, and always have done. I don't have much in the way of "curves" at all. If I decided I was going to put on a stone (which I did at uni drinking all that beer/eating all that pizza/sleeping in when I should have been at…
  • This post made me realise how I eat the same stuff every day hahahaha! Greek yogurt, nut butter, rye bread, turkey, chicken breasts, and cocoa orange nakd bars. I have an addiction to cocoa orange nakd bars...
  • ^this :drinker:
  • Aw thank you :blushing: it guess it really is true that abs are made in the kitchen! It's the only way I've managed to get rid of the blasted thing! Worst moment was during uni at my Saturday job at Woolworths, wearing their very flattering uniform...stockroom guy who speaks very little English says to me "Angela, you have…
  • It puts a strain on it that's for sure. My boyfriend and I had a massive row in the supermarket the other day because we couldn't decide on what to have for dinner! He trains and looks after himself too, however his maintenance is about 1000 calories over my maintenance calories and it occasionally ends up in an argument…
  • I carry fat around my belly, it's the only place I carry it. I am flat chested, with no waist and hips and have thin arms and legs. I have detested my stomach since I was 12. I'm now 29 and you name it, I've tried it. I even had a personal trainer once who told me I should just accept that my stomach sticks out. I felt I…
  • Google IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) and look at the calculator. Make sure you hit the protein and fat numbers it gives you. i am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but this method helped me finally get rid of my persistent belly fat - and I have tried every method going, including the downright silly ones. Keep…
  • 10g of Nutella mixed with 125g of greek yogurt....mmmmmmmm Nutella melted into warm milk.....mmmmmmmm Nutella on oaty biscuits.....mmmmmmm Or just straight out of the tub with a spoon. That'll do.
  • I am just about to move into the Gamma phase, and my boyfriend is just finishing Alpha. We both did Insanity before T25. The good thing about both of these programs (particularly T25 as there is a modifier which, although I have not used it, appears considerably lower impact than the regular workout) is that there is no…
  • Have a look at the calculator on the "If It Fits Your Macros" website, and try not to panic when you start eating more. As long as it is the right foods, you will be fine. You don't need to lose weight with the numbers you gave earlier, but if you are unhappy with your body shape your nutrition is key. I am still finding…
  • Your body will thank you for it. 1200 calories a day is not enough. I am 5'8 and weigh 57kgs so I'm in a similar position to you, and I eat around 2200 calories a day to maintain; more if I've worked out more intensely than usual (e.g a race or training with the men at work and getting competitive  ) You would burn…
  • I have a "cheat day" every week/10 days. My boyfriend and I work shifts and are pretty much like ships passing in the night the whole time (our shift patterns clash badly). When we are both off and at home, we order something yummy, or go out for dinner and have more than a few drinks. We plan what we're going to have and…
