  • I know how you're feeling! I've been hovering at 200 for a few weeks and it's driving me insane. I've been working out and eating fairly well (sure the eating could be better but I have to eat in a way I can maintain and eating too few calories is impossible for me). I've lost 30 pounds so far and my initial goal is to…
  • I was good to get my regular workout done yesterday after spending 4 days helping a friend move. I hope to be more involved in challenges this week since I"ll actually be home and have internet access! The app is great since we can still track but I wish we could do more on the message boards with it.
  • I do agree with hschumacher that the daily challenges should be dated to make it easier to know what day the challenge was for. We'll have more of each day of the week as the group goes on. I think a NSV category that is pinned to the top could be a good place to encourage interaction. While so much of our focus is on…
  • I did it. I ended up breaking them up into sets becasue I would have collapsed had I tried to do all 50 at once time . . . Especially after the workout I did today.
  • For me it's been little changes. For example measuring my cereal out as opposed to just pouring it in a bowl, counting out the recommended serving of something, tracking everything I eat, etc. I do try to make sure I eat lean proteins and plenty of fruits and vegetables. I can't put anything on a don't eat this list…
  • You CAN come back from this. Just remember those pounds didn't show up overnight and they won't go away that fast either. Don't try to make too many changes at one time, it's best to take baby steps. If suddenly you're working out like a fiend or severly cutting your calories it's harder to maintain. I lost 90+ pounds 5…
  • Congrats on starting Insanity. I'll be curious to follow your progress since you are following the nutrition guide. I just started month 2 yesterday and like some have said - it's like starting over again. For me it's the shoulders which are feeling it this time (either that or changing a tire did me in yesterday).
  • I do follow the Insanity schedule (well I did skip one day of the recovery week but since you do the same workout 6 days in a row I don't figure that's an issue). I'm not doing the Insanity food plan though. It's just not practical for me. I know I wouldn't follow it for long and I'd rather make changes in my diet that I…
  • Chalk it up to a bad day, we all have them. I would try to figure out if there was a trigger though in eating double your calories for the day. If there's a specific reason you ate double the calories maybe it can be avoided.
  • Excellent job! I'm a huge fan of not cutting anything out unless you are allergic to the food. I'd be miserable if I said I could never eat ice cream or chocolate cake again. Fast food I can live without and have to be careful what I pick there because the grease can disagree with me.
  • This time around I have clothes from when I was smaller so it's just a matter of shrinking back into them. The first time I lost weight I would wear belts and try to make the clothes last as long as possible. I did lots of Clearance shopping and Goodwill. I didn't care so much about looks but fit until I was ready to stop…
  • My name is Kim, 28 years old, 5'7" and currently 200 pounds. I started this leg of my weight loss journey at 230. My highest weight ever was 270 and from there I did get down to 178 in about a year. Then I started slacking and finally lost my job for no reason and ended up putting a significant portion of the weight I had…
  • My primary motivation is my health. Both sides of my family have many of the health problems which are obesity related and I want to if not avoid them at least put them off as long as possible. I don't want to be my cousin in her 30's on high blood pressure medicine if I can help it. I also enjoy the confidence losing…
  • I'm perfectly willing to admit I'm slightly terrified of tomorrow morning when I do my workout ... I've never gotten this far before in Insanity and I can only imagine how hard it has the potential to be. All of next week could be fun since I'm starting month 2 of Insanity and helping a friend move so I'll be packing…
  • Great job! What a transformation in that time!
  • I calculated my calories according to Insanity and I can't quite do what they suggest for me from their formula. Even on days when I go over what I have set in myfitnesspal I never go that far . . . They want me to eat what feels like a huge amount. I did eat slightly more last week than I have been in previous weeks and…
  • It's not silly! That's a great feeling! Recently I just had that feeling again.
  • I looked at a picture of myself in a group of women at a bachelorette party and realized I wasn't huge compared to everyone else in the group!
  • You look great! I can only hope to have success like yours!
  • I just found this tool after being on here for over 100 days and it's amazing! I love being able to put my foods in there. Trying to find something similar is a challenge because I may make that recipe different than someone else.
  • Okay well bedtime. Night. Love You.
  • I'm also in week 4. Today was Cardio Recovery and I can tell my legs are stronger since I can hold that one squat for a minute now without needing the break or wanting to maim Shaun T. I haven't seen any noticeable changes in my body yet really. Hopefully month 2 does that. I haven't lost weight at all since before…
  • Not my type at all, but would love to hang out. I'm sure that'd be fun.
  • I do this! I love Snow Caps and find it easier to just measure out the portion and stick it in my purse. Now I am a sucker for movie popcorn. Luckily our newspaper has been running coupons for a free small popcorn with ticket purchase at the local theater. That cuts down on costs and I still get my popcorn! If I'm doing a…
  • The simple truth is like many other posters said is this has to be done for you. While it's great to have supportive people in your life those are just a bonus. You are the only one who can truly make the changes. I'd bet those who aren't supportive are somewhat jealous of your decision and what you've accomplished.…
  • Great job! I hate bridal sizing - it always makes me feel huge.
  • My mom always notices it first in my face. Personally I start seeing it in my wrists when that one bone starts sticking out more and I notice it when my collar bone starts to show. Other than that I can't really see the difference unless I look at older pictures of myself and more recent ones side by side. I know my…
  • There are many reasons you could weigh the same this week. I've been sitting on the same weight for a month. When I took my measurements I had lost a total of 5.5" from various parts of my body. Just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean that your body isn't changing. There are any number of reasons you did not lose…
