  • FW 297.0 The weight I was losing last year was more fat than muscle, as determined by the amount I could lift and if the amount I could lift went up or down. I determined that June's weight loss was more muscle than fat, as my chest / back muscles must have shrunk some, because the amount I could lift went down. This puts…
  • Thanks man. Personally I have determined that my gym schedule determines my sleep schedule, and when I'm not sleeping well it is because I didn't get up and go to the gym. Granted to (re)start the schedule I'm tired on the first day, but when I'm on gym routine I sleep like a rock. I hit a monster bike ride yesterday with…
  • CW 298.8. The plant shutdown for the week of the 4th was not good for my weight. This in conjunction with tweaking my ankle during a jog last week. Some of the extra weight is from the swelling. Need to regroup, get the leg checked out, and focus hard on bike, weights, and eating right.
  • SW 295 - GW 289 289 would put me at my all time low (as an adult), previous best was 290 in November 2014. I've re-established all the old parameters that got me from 380 to where i am now, i need to keep the intensity up. I've upped the intensity on my 10 minute warm up. I changed my lifting plan so that on a warm muscle…
  • So close. 297.7. On to the next one.

  • Capn - Congrats on your home. SW = 301.4 lbs. Goal weight 297. CW = 298.8 Slow and steady I guess. I've done better to watch my food intake, keep my calories in the green. Don't care really how slow I lose weight, as long as I'm losing weight.

  • I successfully negotiated a 2 day work conference with more free food and beer than I know what to do with. I enjoyed, but net gain of 0 pounds. German beer is a weakness. Bring on May.

  • Starting gravity pull of 301.4 lbs. Goal weight 297. Goal #1 - Continue hitting the gym. Goal #2 - Watch my food intake. I can't out exercise my bad diet, I need to quit night snacking so hard. Keep my calories at -1000 for each day.
  • Good thread. The only new one I could add was I noticed all the sleeves on my shirts got longer. 379 - 296 lbs made the sleeves on my coat almost 2 inches longer (back fat mostly).
  • I can't figure this out either. It does clear out if you shutdown and restart, but that seems a bit of a hassle.
  • When Cintas (the uniform people) came yesterday I requested shirts 2 sizes smaller, and pants 2 sizes smaller for work, as I've got a lot of room in my current ones. To my astonishment they both fit! 18 months ago they were both tight.
  • Capn - good to hear your back, keep at it. I'm lucky enough to say I'm on cruise control, been about 13 months of hitting the gym before work ~3 times a week, pure habit. Broke the 300 lb. mark, and learned to bike big hills with my son in tow (aka "sails up"). Hope everyone else is hitting it still, taking advantage of…
  • Today, after a long, bitter, and grueling battle, my scale gave in and started with a 2 instead of a 3. Happy, on to the next one (goal)!
  • Nice job to all! This AM I achieved my August goal of 1.75 miles constant jogging, with walking before and after. 2 miles here I come.
  • Nice job man! I'm hoping to hit that mark in the next few months myself.
  • Black. I used to serve it to people at Mcd's in the mid 90's, before they put cream and sugar in for you. People would spill coffee in their car between their legs all the time trying to add the cream and sugar. So I decided black was the way to go.

  • A coworker who I only see about once a month had mistaken me for someone new, and didn't recognize me. 1st time that's happened. Just now!
  • Definitely a bad thing. I was just there about a year ago too.

  • Good attitude Cap, wondered where you were. I'm chasing 300 still, only 42 more to go.
  • Agreed this place is dead. Daily - 11 Ford Fusion, stock Non Daily - 03 Mustang Cobra SVT 10th anniversary coupe, red. Puts down about 500 hp...
  • I gained a few for Turkey day, and leftover Turkey days, but no regrets on that one. No 1 goal is to do better with my intake. CW 349.2 Neck: 17.5" Chest: 52" Bicep: 17" Waist 49.5"
  • +1 for what seltzemint said. I started at 379, male, 35 yrs old, and setup to lose 2 lbs a week. I think MFP gave me a calorie aim of around 2300. I think the dirty little secret I found out (which helped me), was how 10 minutes of fairly hard exercise on the elliptical only equated to about a cookie's worth of calories. I…
  • I'm in. I've been pushing hard at the gym the last few weeks. But more surprisingly, I've started to alternate jog / walk laps on the track, and even more to my surprise, I kinda like jogging. Current Weight: 352.2 Neck: 17.1" Chest: 55.3" Bicep: 17" Waist: 51"
  • Glad I could help!
  • I don't think it has anything to do with being a morning person really. Translate your motivation for working out at night to the A.M., so that you can do what you want at night. The snooze on my alarm is 9 minutes, and for years it was my favorite button. One morning, after hitting snooze, I asked myself, what's the point…
  • Guys don't do Candy Crush. OP - Hill Climb, real racing, and pocket mine are good time killers. And free.
  • Been having some creative issues myself. Not sure if your a simpson's fan or not, but I was thinking about going as homer simpson, dressed as Pie-man.
