I didn't take it as such. I have considered it. Unfortunately, work full time, grad school full time, kids full time, etc. don't give me much time left to take care of my issues. I guess I just really relate to that nut job female dieter described in the article.....

Thanks. I may just do that. Good luck with your training! This kind of thing is new to me, and I just want to make sure I am ready.

Mine is in the morning too. Yikes! I usually run in the evening. That is an additional issue. I don't have as much energy to exercise in the morning.

I don't want to try anything new. I guess I am looking for good food combos to give me energy until the end.

I am pretty new to running regularly, so I wouldn't quite classify myself as a runner...yet. ;) I am doing a meal replacement program under my doctor's care, and it is low calorie. I was actually stalling out on weight loss from not eating enough. And I sure wasn't gaining any distance. So I have added a meal on the days…

Just saw this, and I am going to use it to push me beyond Saturday.

Some of us headcase female dieters are reading it.....much easier said than done to follow it. If I could break the starve and binge cycle, I swear I would. I am at a complete lose as to HOW....and weed isn't an option....lol!

I don't normally run during the day (on Spring Break this week) but I did today. After about 5 hours, my appetite has come back with a vengeance. I guess that is another reason I like exercising in the evening better.

You are not alone! Exercise always kills my appetite. I want to snack all evening on days I don't exercise, but I can't ever get all my calories in on a day that I take a jog or do some kind of semi intense workout. I thought I was the only one.

I think skipping meals has more of an impact on people with blood sugar issues. In addition, it can help jump start your metabolism...good for people who easily slip into starvation mode from eating too few calories. I have blood sugar issues, so it is important to keep it at a steady level during the day. Just something…

I agree that surgery is a last resort, and it is really just a vanity thing on my part. I think plenty of people in your position can lose it. Some of that is from the enlarged uterus shrinking back to normal, part is from excess fat that needs to be shed. I am assuming you are pretty young, so that will definitely play in…

I think some skin will rebound. It just depends on how much. After up and down weight and 3 pregnancies, I gave up and saw the plastic surgeon yesterday. My OB/GYN told me my tummy was too far gone for anything other than surgery. It all depends on the severity, I think. Plus, remember, you only had your baby a month ago.…

I am 5'4" and I think my goal is between 145-150. I was at 250 at one point and got down to 155. I was wearing a size 10, and a medium top. I could fit into a few 8's. I am pretty sure I could get into most 8's at 145-150. When I graduated high school I was a 6 at 140. While I would love to be back at that size, I am not…

Reading all the large weight loss numbers are kind of discouraging for me. I have been on Optifast since the beginning of February, so I am on week 10. I have lost 19 pounds. I was so hoping for a much larger loss by now. I had 4 weeks where I only lost half a pound. The doc had me add a meal on the days that I run because…

Thanks for posting these ranges. I get really down on myself because I am in the 15-25 pound range now, and at one point I was in the 75+ range. I get so frustrated when I don't see the scale move like it used to when I was much heavier. Good to keep in perspective.

I totally get what you are saying! After losing almost 100 pounds, I felt EXACTLY the same way. I was so discouraged by the thought of never being able to let down my guard. Then I just gave up for a while, gained back almost 40, and caught myself. I am working on getting back down, and I am trying to get my mind in the…
