Yes. It is. I know it sounds crazy, but I won't swim in my pond! There are fish and turtles and snakes and such.....not sure I could handle that.

My son was on Seroquel for several years, and he changed to Abilify in August. He has lost 26 pounds since then. It was like you said....his cravings (specifically very carby foods) were crazy, and he would get up in the middle of the night eating. Definitely keeping those trigger foods out of reach will help those…

Lemon juice and tea are good diuretics, but I am not sure how much that will help you by tomorrow....

He would love it! I need to mention it to him

The doc did say biking was a good alternative. I was going to try to go back to running until he said no...trying biking instead. The biggest reason I picked this bike was the comfort factor. I can sit up on it more, and the pedal design was really comfortable. I don't see myself really doing races on a bike, but who…

I mentioned in the original post that I don't have access to a community pool. I am in a very rural area, so our resources are pretty limited. :(

This is the bike I will be getting: http://www.electrabike.com/bikes/townie/original-7d?g=ladies It was the most comfortable of the ones I tried. For my terrain (flat paved roads), the man at the bike shop said it is what I would need.

I am not in PT anymore. I did it for 6 weeks, and I can't afford the copays anymore. I will look into it though.

I haven't done boxing. It may be a good stress reliever, if nothing else. I don't know why I don't like strength training except to say it is boring for me. Reps are just no fun. I have done the circuit at the gym when I had access before, and I could do something like that again. I guess I would need to put something…

I thought about this. I will see more. I live way out in the country, so I will be on back roads. My only concern is possibly running across dogs people don't keep in their yards, but I have a plan for that. When you ride, how fast do you go? How do you maintain your heart rate? I am just thinking about how riding for…

I have a smallish pond, so I could consider rowing. I would be going in a circle, but that would be a start. That may be something I could get my husband into as well. And I agree, walking just isn't the same.

How long are your intervals on the bike?

I am interested. I lost about 100 pounds in 2009. Then I gained part of it back. Since January, I have lost almost 30 pounds. I am about 15 pounds away from where I want to be.

Ugh!!! Must be something about klutzes and big events. This was the evening before my graduation from grad school at Ole Miss.
-
I keep thinking I will, but then the next day it feels a little better. So, no....

I don't have a bike or access to a pool. I wish I did!

I posted my ticker on the other thread. Just wanted to share my goal here. Last month, my goal was 28 miles. I beat it by a mile. This month's goal is 40 miles. I am 27% of the way there right now (love Runner Keeper...it keeps me on track). The change in heat and humidity has definitely worn me out more quickly! I guess…

I finally recovered from the blisters I got on my first 10K. I changed to a light weight sock, bought a larger shoe, and started using moleskin on the toes that were rubbing. Today was my first day without moleskin in 3 weeks, and I think I am finally back to pre-blister form!

Goal for May--40 miles May 3: 3.52 miles and 2.67 miles May 6: 3.15 miles May 7: 1.55 miles (I only had a few minutes)

Haha...this sounds like my regular playlist. I feel a little guilty listening to Jesus Take the Wheel and then Buckcherry right after when I have shuffle on. lol

Eminem, Flo Rida, Pit Bull, Katie Perry, Mackelmore, Kesha, Pink, Swedish House Mafia, Outkast, Maroon Five, Selena Gomez, The Black Eyed Peas.....anything with a good beat.

Thank you. I needed some kind of motivation to keep on moving this week.
-
Ok, trying again....

Grrrr....if I post is as an image, it only shows half the pic......grrrr!!!

It has been a learning experience this month. And I can't believe how much more energy I have!
-
My first time ever to do a run challenge. Not a huge number miles, but I just beat my goal for the month!

Forgot to add Thursday.

I didn't even think about the sodium. I need to look into that.

I was given this advice before my 10K last week, and it made a huge difference. I felt like I was just completely out of steam around 4 miles. I slowed down for the race and made it all the way. I was surprised at the difference it made.
