Thanks everyone for your input, i've taken on board the comments which have relevance to my first point. People are not being helpful when criticising my behaviour towards my boyfriend. It has nothing to do with being a "pushover". I do wonder if any of these people actually have a functioning healthy relationship…

Thanks everyone for your input, i've taken on board the comments which have relevance to my first point. I'm not reading anymore of this thread. Haha, what was the point in writing that? Unhelpful and uninformed nonsense.
-
No you can't, this isn't a relationship councelling session, I was simply asking for solutions. Not comments about my relationship which you have absolutely NO idea about.
-
Thank you, I don't understand what people get out of it either, oh well. I feel sorry for people like that. x

Obviously it's not seen as the norm to eat dinner with your loved one these days. Sigh. I'm going to leave this thread, so many opinions on a simple fact that I like to be good to my boyfriend. God, I must be soooooo weird and dependent on him....deary me.
-
How is that a case of "codependency"? You made a nasty comment, I called you out. Oh dear!
-
Its called being considerate. You might want to give it a go some time.
-
A A case of codependency for taking into account that my boyfriend might want something to eat when he gets home from work? Hahaha. Jesus the forum here is so utterly ridiculous. Trolling doesn't suit you.
-
Thank you, I hope the diagnosis was nothing too bad. I'll try cooking healthy stuff whether i'm seeing him or not, and maybe see if I can get a key for nights when he'll be home late.
-
And what do I need to "fix"?
-
Yeah thats true! I guess I just always feel bad when he calls and I tell him i've already eaten. I'll have a chat with him and explain :)
-
I could do that yeah, I guess the only trouble is when I don't know if i'm for sure seeing him that night, but I suppose I could cook for the both of us and use the leftovers for the next night if he gets home too late or I don't end up going to his place.
-
Thank you to those being helpful.
-
We don't live together, so often im waiting around to find out when he is going to get home, I usually stay at his place, so i'll be at mine waiting for him (I currently don't have a key to his place). You could tell me to eat and let him sort his own dinner out, but I don't like to do that when he has been at work for 12+…

Thanks, really good ideas. Hahaha he doesn't need to log in MFP, he's the perfect weight! he's on his feet all day though :P

I've heard so many different things about "starvation mode" or how skipping breakfast stops your metabolism functioning at it's best. Are these things even proven? Is fasting beneficial or will it cause problems with metabolism?

I am 5 ft 7, weighing 157lbs (currently but this fluctuates a lot!). My body burns around 1500 calories a day (that's my BMR - Basic Metabolic Rate) just for living, because I work in an office and do very little exercise. So I find it hard to lose weight unless i'm eating less than that number, usually try to stick to…

I'm from the UK, and also have tattoos haha :P

I was looking at PhD Diet Whey, which has 96kcals and 1g sugar in a 25g scoop. So would nobody suggest using it as a breakfast replacement, that's one of the only times I think i'd use it really, or possibly after exercise on an evening and have a small meal for dinner? My lifestyle is very sedentary as I work in an…

Thank you, I have started logging again, so hopefully i'll stick to that. I've been as low as 145lbs previously and still felt I needed to lose another 10lbs to be comfortable in my own skin. Each to their own I guess? I'm going to start doing skipping exercises as i've recently purchased a jump rope.

physically you look a 10! (but a little old for me :P)

What should the average size/weight be in your opinion?
-
Could anyone tell me what they personally think "over weight" is in terms of height/weight/clothes size/BMI?
-
If you think the Special K girl is "fat" you are deluded. I think some of the people here should be ashamed of themselves for being such terrible "fattists". Have you ever considered the other side of the scale (pardon the pun) - that being unhealthily thin has become desirable and that also impacts on health? I consider…

I've just found two really scrummy soups from Asda (and i'm sure there'll be many more in that range): Asda Whole and Hearty - Chosen By You 'Slow Cooked Pork & Orzo' Soup - a tomato based thick soup containing pulled slow cooked pork, onion, and orzo pasta - 159kcals for the whole 400g tub. Asda Fresh 'Chicken and…

I have two, one is a pretty big upper back piece, you can see it in my photos if you go on my profile. I want more, I just worry about getting them in obvious places due to social stigma (which is obviously getting better - but tattoos in the workplace are still generally frowned upon which is ridiculous!) I would love…

I'm 5'7", currently 151lbs, and I have a goal of 125-130lbs...i sometimes feel like i'm not naturally supposed to be that thin though. Finding it hard to ever get past 146lbs and keep fluctuating around my current weight.
-
I'm finding it really hard to even find the motivation to start exercising. I'm lethargic and in a serious state of self pity, i hate myself but I really just cant find the will to change myself.
-
Me too! I love sweet potatoes!

How do I get back on track?! I need a major kick in the butt! Had a Starbucks mocha frappucino this morning (albeit Skinny), so naughty!
