I've never been fitted for running shoes before. Maybe I should check that out. I do own a pair of fairly new nike runners, but I don't know if they are the right ones for me. I've been doing my P90X lifting workouts, then going out running afterwards. I figured my legs were warmed up enough. I did some light stretching…

Sorry, I'm a little attached to mine. 22 days left for me :) Gotta get-ya some!

I love brown rice, black beans (rinsed), rotel, garlic, fesh lime juice, grilled chicken (optional), other grilled veggies (red/yellow bell peppers, onion) and a dollop of homemade guacamole and salsa on top. Stir together in a bowl and enjoy. Love this and could eat it everyday. Satisify's my craving for Mexican food, but…

Thanks and congrats on 4 inches off the waist. That's awesome.

@ diamonangel, looks like you've had good results with P90X. Hope your right :) I'm looking forward to my end results.

At the beginning of the year when I got serious about losing weight, I quit buying anything unhealthy, that includes snack foods. , I'd go to the pantry or the fridge and there was literally nothing to binge on. I'd have to cook something if I wanted to eat and I'd realize that it wasn't worth it. I'd get some water and…

I saw this website www.sixpackbag.com and they sell these bags that are great to take to work or for traveling. They are currently sold out but should have some in stock this month. Looks really neat for storing liquids, vitamins, meals, fruit, bottles, etc.. Check it out. I'd like to get me one soon.

I agree, take it after your workout and within an hour of working out. Good luck with P90X. I'm sure you'll do great. You've already shown you can commit to a program by doing Power90. Way to go!

Try eating a small handful of nuts: pecans, walnuts, almonds. It's about 1/4 cup. I grab some for a quick snack whenver I'm hungry and always seems to help. Be careful though, going overboard will rack up the calories. After you eat them, wait 20 minutes and see if your still hungry. Ususally they keep me till lunch or…

I'm in the same boat. I get up at 5am, do my workout, shower, get kids up and out the door and work till 5pm. I started going to bed earlier. I try to get in bed by 9-9:30pm. Going to bed earlier makes it easier to get up. One morning I woke up, sat on the side of my bed and thought to myself, Why don't you go back to bed,…

Do you mind sharing the brownie recipe, or sending it as a message? I'm up for trying healthier versions. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

These sound good. Thanks for posting. To everyone else that posted a link, I plan to check them out. Sounds like several people are big on the shrimp ring, may have to do that since my husband has cut red meat out of his diet. It's just a challenge to fix special foods for several different people and for a large crowd.

Well, my son did request taco's and brownies and since it is his birthday, I do plan to make those for whoever wants them, but my husband's sister and spouse are doing P90X like I am, so I just thought they'd appreciate some healthy snack foods too. Shrimp does sound good, so does Subway. Unfortunatley, I live in a small…

Thanks for sharing. I just read the article. It is so true. It's really hard to go to my kids bb games 3-4 nights a week and be there sometimes for 4+ hours and seeing people eating hamburgers, nachos, chili potatoes, pop, candy etc.. What I've started doing is bringing along an apple, string cheese, tuna & whole wheat…

I'd stay away from as much processed foods as possible. Substitute sweets for fresh fruit.. Some foods I enjoy are fat free cottage cheese with crushed pineapple, beef jerky (high in sodium so use occasionally), grilled chicken on salad, omelets made with fresh spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, garlic, bell peppers,…

A good workout program for women building lean muscle is Chalene Extreme or P90X. They both have proven to add more muscle on women commited to following their plan. I lift 10-15lbs on the workouts, and I'm adding muscle but not bulk. Good luck.
-
P90X! Definetely works at building muscle if you follow the program, and burns fat. Good luck.
-
I read an article last Friday about losing belly fat, and it said to try to stay around or under 21 grams of sugar a day.

That's Awesome Results! Are you doing a workout rountine? If so, what are you doing?

You will need some free weights or resistance bands, a pull up bar (optional if you have bands, you can use those, but pull up bar is better). and yoga mat and most important determination and drive...don't give up, you can do it. All these items can be found at Wal-Mart. Good luck with P90X.

Those are awesome results. I'm at the end of week 3 of P90X. I can auctually feel my biceps without flexing. Getting great results with this program as well. This is auctually my second round. My first round, and first 30 days I lost 9.75 inches and 7.5 lbs the first month, but I wasn't following the food program. I'm now…

I'm auctually a beachbody coach. I recommend if you are new to exercise to try Slim in 6. It's a great beginners workout. Burns calories and helps you establish a good workout routine. My friend lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks doing it. If you are wanting a little more then try Turbo Jam, fun and burns the calories. Chalene Xtreme…

Yummy! How many calories/serving?

Every morning after my P90X workout, I enjoy my chocolate Shakeology. It has 17 grams of protein and several grams of fiber. I mix in one cup of skim milk and I'm off for the day. It's only 140 calories, 230 with milk Gives me energy, love it. Plus it has over 70 whole foods in it. I eat every 3-4 hours so I drink my shake…

Thanks for everyone's imput. I appreciate it and will look further into what my personal HR should be. When working out, I feel pretty good around 170-175 but when it gets to 180 + that 's when it's hard, so I'll try slowing in down and not to push my self harder, for this workout is an hour long and I do want to burn the…

Asejohnson _ Thanks , that does help. I'm not running, but the workout I am doing is P90x and the one that gets me up that high is the Plyometrics. Its a 60 minute dvd and my heart rate ranges from 170-187 usually. When it gets up to 187, I usually walk around for a minute to bring it down a bit. Is that ok?
-
Schobert101 - thanks for your advice. Sflorkie - I've been told I amy have a thyroid problem before (kinda runs in the family). Did it say how a thyroid problems could effect your heart rate?
-
Ok, just read the next post. So my heart rate according to that website should be around 187 if I calculated right. That sounds about right for me then. Thanks

Wow..cardiac arrest at 200. Guess I better bring it down a notch. I'll be 33 in March, so probably around 165-170 would be ok? Thanks for the info.
