I'm doing one called Hard Charge in a couple months. My wife and I did Run For Your Lives in May and it was a lot of fun. I wasn't ready for all of the hills since I mostly run on a fairly flat route. I am trying to motivate myself to do the Spartan WOD. You can sign up for them in your email or find them on Facebook. They…

Congratulations! It's a great feeling to get it under control and come off of medications. And the fact that you are reducing your risk factors for so many other problems by doing so is also a plus. Keep up the good work!

My wife and I recently did the one in OH. It was a lot of fun. We also dressed up as zombies earlier in the day, which was pretty cool.

Thanks for this. My daughter and I went for a short run and she asked me about what muscles you use when you run and I didn't have a specific answer. This helps.

I went to get fitted at a running store and the shoes they brought out seemed to be way to big. I normally wear about an 11 and they were bringing me 13's. I wasn't really comfortable with any of the shoes they brought out, although some were better than others. I ended up going to a sporting goods store and picking out a…

I use it for running/hiking/walking. I like that you can add your own workouts and that you can track them all online. I find that it shows less calories burned than MFP, but that is just my experience. I like the app and haven't had too many problems with it uploading a workout to MFP.

I'd have to agree with all of this. And add sagging pants, especially with a belt.

While going through my divorce, I was getting angry pretty often. When I would have an argument and get mad, I would go for a run. It gave me a constructive outlet for my anger. It also gave me some time to think and process things. It was a better coping skill than sitting around and eating. Or drinking, not that it…

But...but...this is what I really look like. Okay, not really. I have a beard now.

I'm curious about this, too. I've been thinking about personal training. Just not sure if it would be a good move financially.

Good job! My wife and I are doing RunForYourLives in OH in May. I can't wait! We are going to be zombies in the morning and run later in the day.

I like to add olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder or chopped onions. Sometimes, I will put crushed red pepper in with it or cut up sweet peppers to put in it.

I have a Tune Belt armband that I bought on Amazon. I really like it.

That may seem to be an arbitrary goal, but if it works and you are happy, so be it. Two years ago, I set my goal at 205 lbs, simply because that was the limit for a UFC light heavyweight. It worked. I surpassed it actually and got down to 200. I'm not a fighter and there was no other reason for me to weigh that specific…

Lots of good info in here. My wife, some friends, and I are running a 5k in May, Run For Your Lives. We are wanting to start training for it soon. I'm glad I read this.

I've played D&D since the box sets came out in the 80s. Played 3rd edition last, but it has been a while. Played Magic for a while as well.
