Also, I am considered morbidly obese

We did not rush into the surgery. My weight loss journey has been going on for 10 years, and more intensely the past 2 years with dr supervised diets and such. I went through months of therapy that did not work, and all my tests came back a-okay. The surgery and the pill were for health and safety issues, not a cosmetic…

Yes I do take a multivitamin, plus a few others. But the acid thing is interesting, and I do have stomach acid related issues, so if that is true, it could very well help. Thanks.

I have seen a therapist before about it, and after surgery, you get counseling. They don't just cut you open and send you on your way. Pre planning might be a good idea. My husband doesn't like doing that, but I think he may just need to get over it.

The surgery and pills were not for quick fixes, but more for health and safety. I have talked to the weight loss specialists after my dr and they find it a good option.

The surgery and pills were not for quick fixes or the other issues, but more for health and safety. My dr never touched on the subject of hormones and brain functions, which was the point of this post. All she said was "Well that's odd, just keep trying".

It has been stressed enough here, and I am fully aware and ready for it. I have been doing it for 2 years now. The surgery and pills were not for quick fixes, but more for health and safety. I an thinking my hunger IS stress. I was just fine until 2 seconds ago my toddlers started yelling, and immediately I felt very…

That could definitely be my issue. It seems like the healthier the food, the worse the feeling is. But I grew up with such a bad diet, that it may be my body not being use it it.
-
No, they have not. I am scared to know how that works haha. But no, they haven't even mentioned it. I didn't even know about it. Thanks for bringing it up.
-
Thank you. It may work for me. I appreciate your advice.
-
That makes sense. That may be my issue. Thank you.

My thyroid has been checked, and I have been cleared of it. But that is what I was asking on here, which is why I did not ask for diet advice.I am extremely stressed so that may be all it is. It explains why it started after having kids haha. Thank you.

Thank you so much :) And even more so for your genuine kindness.

I have talked to the specialists. They too also think I am ready. Thanks though...

Thank you. I am trying that. My issue though is my hungry feeling IS constant, sometimes it hurts so bad like I haven't eaten all day, even after eating. But I am trying to accept that I do not need to feed myself all day because I have that feeling. It is hard

I have tried that, . MFP says 2000 and that link says 2100. It is very hard for me to stay under 2000 calories. It's hard to stay under 3000 even, even on a good diet. I am just always THAT hungry.
-
I will experiment with that. Thank you.

[quote="Grace215lbs;30285893" Ask yourself this and please be honest. If it takes you 5 years of strict eating to get to goal would you still do it? If the answer is no, then you're never going to reach a goal and maintain. Sorry. A quick fix is just that. Quick. You'll gain the weight back and be more depressed than ever.…

No, it's funny because a can of Dr Pepper (I dont do diet sodas) is the only thing that can help me temporary stop eating food. But since I am trying to stay away from pop, that is not an option every time. Unfortunately, high protein and high fiber foods do not help either. I can eat an entire chicken, and it's eggs and…

It's friends only. Also, I am not looking into advice into what I am eating, because it is not what I am eating. I was under a dr supervised diet, that was made to make you full, and I felt nothing. The downfall was my dr did not address the issue other than, "keep trying", which is why I came here. I know it can be…

With the surgery, I am going into counseling for anything and everything mental and emotional that is coming my way. It is not just get the surgery, and then they send you on your way. They say that I am mentally capable of the surgery and what comes after. Also, I am not looking into advice into what I am eating, because…

I lose about 20 lbs in a month before I fall off the track, and gain it all back. I have over 100lbs to lose. With the surgery, I am going into counseling for anything and everything mental and emotional that is coming my way. It is not just get the surgery, and then they send you on your way. They say that I am mentally…

Yes, I have tried those. They do not work. I can eat an entire carton of eggs and feel nothing. Same with fruits and veggies. I can eat and eat and eat them and feel nothing.

I usually over estimate how much I've eaten, just in case. But I have never used a food scale, and some days just skipped logging, and I was losing weight at a good rate. My biggest issue is just sticking to it. I lose 20lbs, get too happy and feeling good, and start back with my old habits, all involuntarily. This time, I…

you're looking fantastic! great job! and god luck on the rest of the journey :)

I go to my doctors to measurements. She does arms, waist, and hips. Though I already commented on on of your posts that is appears that she is measuring my waist wrong. She does it right at the belly button which I thought was weird and now doing some research she should be doing it a little higher? I don't know. My advice…

It is also a place for support and encouragement. This isnt the site for you if you are going to talk down to people. Also 4 weeks then my 2 weeks.

I have Mirena, got it in September 2012, weighing in at 230. January 2013 I go in for weight loss and I weighed 272. I am getting it out in a few days and getting on one I had before that didn't make me gain an absurd amount of weight in such a little time. I don't just gain weight like that. I am usually always steady so…

I agree with what everyone has said. But if cooking/eating at home is not an option (like for me) choose something better. Like Ia McDs I get a classic grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo, a parfait instead of fries, I stick to my large dr pepper (sometimes an unsweetened ice tea) all for UNDER 500 calories. I add half…

I had no idea they had a "bad rap". I hear nothing but good things about them, esp when it comes to weight loss. It might be 100+ calories but its fresh fruit....it's good calories. I never really ate them until I tried to stop eating chips and candy bars as snacks, and replaced them with bananas. Much better if you ask me!
