This is a really dumb question I am sure... I have been going to a gym for 10 weeks now and doing cardio and weight machines. Why are free weights better? I bought the NROL book but haven't started yet- yep I am a little intimidated. But what is the difference between free weights and the weight machines?

I lost 40something pounds on WW too but am enjoying MFP much more. It's free, you don't have to sit in meetings, and the support is better, in my opinion. You are in charge of your program with MFP and in my case, I started working out MUCH more later on and therefore needed more calories, not less. I thought WW was too…

I did week 8 day 1 yesterday. I had to walk twice for 30 seconds each time. In retrospect, I don't think I had to walk, but at the time I did... UGH. You're right. I'm not in a race. I just have to psych myself out NOT TO STOP! I find myself checking the timer constantly wanting to. But if I turn over my phone and not look at it, I obsess on looking at it haha.....

Yesterday I did week 6 day 2. I still can't believe how far I've come!!!!!!!!!! I've NEVER run before. I was a zumba queen (lol) and did workout DVD's. Now I am running and lifting heavy weights and I feel amazing! I plan to run an event where I live called Karaoke 5k on November 8th that I am really excited about :)

I am loving this app! I was never a runner before. I will do week 3 day 3 today and I am actually excited about it! I was scared when I started week 3 because it seemed like a big jump from the amount of running on week 2, but I did it. Nothing like the pride you feel when the run is over!!!!!! :)

You look amazing and should be so proud! It's so funny. I have lost about the same amount as you and don't see my own success as much as I see it in other people-- so seeing your pics is really motivating and makes me realize that I have lost too and have made a big transformation... Way to go!

You can do this. Think about how much better you feel when you are doing the right things and taking care of your body. Remember why you started. Don't do this for anyone else but you!!!!!!!!!!

I also do shredded beef ones in the crock pot: - eye of round roast or something equally lean -bunch of fresh cilantro -chopped onion -chopped garlic -smoked chili powder -beef broth -pepper -salt -juice of two limes or so Cook till it falls apart, shred, and serve on warm corn tortillas. Of course with fresh avocado......
