How frequently are you weighing yourself? It can vary quite a lot depending on time of day, time of the month etc. It's also about measurements as the scale could not move much because you're loosing weight but gaining muscle. If you haven't taken measurements, give it a go and see if there's a difference in a month or so

Hi!

You can add me, I log on almost every day :-)

I was sick recently and asked this. The general advice was to eat at maintenance until better. Your body needs the energy to heal itself. Don't worry too much about diet (just try and make sensible food choices) and focus more on the getting better! Hope you get better soon

Being lactose intolerant, I would expect there to be a food choice I could eat if I had been invited to a wedding reception. If the RSVP didn't specifically ask, I would make sure it was known. I would consider it very rude for them to ignore the dietary requirements of one of their guests, when informed about it. But you…

That's great! Keep a hold of that feeling and use it to motivate you!

I'm curious, on what day do you normally see your lowest weight? Have you noticed a pattern?

I started the C25K last summer and couldn't believe how good it was. By the end I was running 5.4km 3-4 times a week fairly easily in about 34mins. Unfortunately I let the bad weather keep me inside over the winter but I'm working up to it again. I found it really does work very well if you stick at it Good luck and keep…

I have tried running with my dads dog (a black lab) and it's fine in a park or somewhere where I can take her off the lead and be OK. But on the lead, I was just tripping over her all the time especially when she would stop and stiff something. I found it generally quite difficult to keep an eye on her and get a good run…

I was really tempted to get a tricycle, but was convinced out of it so sorry I don't know. I imagine it's very good for your core.

That's a great start! Hope things are going well for everyone and there isn't too much temptation. The real challenge for me is tomorrow but I'm feeling good at the moment (might be that I just went for a run outside because I didn't get to the gym in time. Feels good not to have given up. Also on a side note my 2kg…

Hi there! This sounds like a great idea. I'm torn between not caring (the very easy option) and trying to be good (the very difficult option). A little help and support will go a long way in making the very difficult slightly easier! I'm not sure on the majority of the weekends plans but Easter Sunday we're going to my…

Do you listen to music when running? I find it helps me zone out other people.

This is incredible. Well done. The hard work has really paid off. What an inspiration.

Make sure you're getting enough calcium. I get shin splints if I haven't eaten enough calcium, I have supplements for when I do get shin splints. (It's not always because of the shoes!)

You have to bear in mind, eating to loose weight and eating to maintain are different. You won't be eating the same when you are maintaining, but you do need to keep the healthy eating up. It's not a change for a few months to shift the pounds, it's a change for life

Use it to your advantage. Don't use not wanting to weight yourself as an excuse not to start a diet. Get on them, find your starting point and work from there. You know you can do it, you've done it before. As well as getting fit and healthy, learn what foods are good and what foods are bad, so when the weight is gone, you…

I haven't been on a cruise in many years. I did eat a lot, because I wanted to. But we did do a lot of walking with the sight seeing. The gym was also amazing because the treadmills looked out over the water, so it also felt like a holiday, but it was exercises! Enjoy you're holiday, keep in mind the calories, but don't…

Thank you so much for the replies. It has really helped. To answer a couple of questions: I used MFP to calculate my daily calories. I do eat back my exercise calories. Unfortunately my gym is very busy during the week so weekends or early mornings are the only time I can use all the equipment I want. I have taken my…

"Are you stressed? Your problem lies in the snack section of your meals. A lot of sweet sugary food. Also try to incorporate salads in your meals. " This actually made me cry! I have been extremely stressed this week. Mostly because of work. I think I've been trying to ignore it because everyone else at work is in the same…

I used it last summer to get fit. It worked great! By the end I was running 5.4k easily (from struggling to run for the bus!). Unfortunately over winter I became very unmotivated to go outside. I have now joined a gym and started the C25K up again starting from week 5. I would definitely recommend it! You don't have to…
