I find speed increases with time and confidence, but sometimes it is something I really have to focus on. I believe there is a C25K follow on podcast that's designed to help increase speed.

I can depend greatly. As others say, short grass on flat, solid ground really isn't all that different. Running in longer grass on uneven ground is much more difficult. Running on muddy ground can be tricky because of slipping. Can you visit the site beforehand to see what it's like? Chances are it won't make that much of…

A towel for padding will help greatly. Do you have sensitive skin? It might help to moisturize

I've been having a look for something too. I know you can get GPS running watches that will track distance, speed etc. But they tend to be quite expensive and I haven't quite been able to make the plunge into buying one

Yesterday I planned to go for a run when I got home, but I just felt shattered so I did the 30DS instead, thinking if it was too much I could just stop and not be miles from home. I managed the whole thing (L3) and felt so much better for it. But listen to your body, if it wants to rest, then rest but don't get lazy! I try…

I've heard of cheap gyms not having showers to save money and make the memberships cheaper, but no toilet! That's just stupid

Sounds like a good idea to me, I'm in!

Oddly, I find the inches come off before the weight and you haven't been at this long, so keep going and I'm sure you will see results As for the ton of advice about 'right' foods and 'wrong' foods- I find it far too time consuming and annoying to keep track of it all- I just try to stick under my calories goal and get a…

This is from about a week ago, but I saw my personal trainer and I have lost a total of 8.5% body fat in 5 months AND it used to be that she would demonstrate the exercises she wanted me to do with the same weight as I would be doing them, but for a couple of exercises, she was using a lower weight then upping it for me!

We home make our pizza cause I'm lactose intolerant, and it's fun! I still find I have to work the rest of the days food around the pizza- it doesn't just slot into the dinner space in my diary like most other dinner I have but I don't feel at all bad about eating pizza. Pizza is not a bad food, if made properly

You can drop body fat without dropping much, if any, weight. I have only lost a bit weight, but I have lost a lot more in body fat. It can be frustrating not seeing the scale move, as that's what most people judge their goals by. But if you clothes sizes are getting smaller, you are getting smaller! I find photos and…

Wait until it's fully healed, or you'll just make it worse in the long run and have to spend even more time recovering. Can you do upper body cardio only? Or weight lifting, which can be done sitting down?

Sounds like poor fitting shoes. Go to a store that will properly measure your feet. They will be able to give you advice on why your current shoes are rubbing and recommend what will fit you.

I would love to love it, but I'm struggling! Mostly it's not being able to sleep due to the heat- it means I eat junk because its quick and gives me the energy I need, I don't feel myself and I really struggle to exercise due to the heat and tiredness. Also my boyfriend doesn't cope well either so he's very grumpy I am,…
