  • I think generally time comes before speed. Start building up you're time then speed and eventually both will increase
  • When all the treadmills facing the wall are full so I have to use one facing a mirror. I don't need to see myself running. It's not a pretty sight!
  • First pff, well done on the 5 lbs. It's a great start, keep it up! I get quite a few mixed reactions. Some people say I don't need to loose weight and try and put me of. The trouble is, to them it sounds flattering but to me it's not very helpful. My boyfriend goes in swings and roundabouts. He was very encouraging for me…
  • Thanks everyone. Some really helpful comments! I think this is what I really need to focus on to get to my goal
  • Be careful not to push yourself too hard! It can be very tempting to get back to exercise before you're ready and do a lot more harm than good. Build it up slowly and if it hurts, stop. Listen to your body, give it time to heal and try not to get frustrated if it takes a while. Hope your recovery goes well
  • At least 13lbs. I'm going to a wedding in the summer and would love to look good in the photos!
  • I think it's just preference. If you have the time, try mornings and evenings and see which work best for you. It may take a couple of weeks to work things out. My boyfriend isn't a morning person but goes to the gym first thing. He says he prefers it because he's too asleep to notice the workout. I prefer to workout in…
  • I am lactose intolerance and get terrible shin splints if I don't get enough calcium. I usually supplement with tablets if they start being a problem and it stops it really quickly. Make sure you get plenty of calcium in your diet. I also got told by my Dr it can be made worse by running on an incline.
  • I've only tried an intro class. It was great for not only for toning but for confidence and movement. Unfortunately, I'm too much of a whimp and gave into peer pressure to not to do. People gave me odd looks or inappropriate comments when I said I was thinking of doing pole dancing for exercise. Hope you stick with it and…
  • I get this all the time, in most of my joints. Usually there's no pain, just a loud noise, ranging from clicking to popping to cracking. The only time I get pain is lifting weights and I lock or overextend my arms. I find if I keep my joints soft and don't lock them, there's no issue.
  • I have 1, I bought it as I thought it would be similar to the gym class I used to do. I think it was but I had no where near enough room in my living room to follow it, so ended up turning it off and haven't touched it since.
  • Great idea! I sort of did it last year... but failed to be brave enough to get out the front door! It would be great to go out, full of confidence this year
