Hope it helps. :)

Trying once more. You can see what it is at Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yYJ4hEYudE (And just to be clear, I have no affiliation with the author.) Just wondering if it made a difference to anyone else? :)

Walking puts far less stress on the knees and you can get just as fit. You can vary your speed and try walking hills to increase intensity.

Hope you feel as good as you look. Well-deserved success. :)

If you sing , you could try an over the top chorus of "Veggie Love" to the tune of "Baby Love", all the while dancing around and kissing your brussels sprouts. MIGHT make them laugh, definitely will drown them out and you can get some exercise at the same time. Veggie Love, Oh my Veggie Love How I need you, oh how I need…

Wow. You lost half a skirt. Great work. :)

A great story. I'm only down 1 pant size and that feels great, so I can imagine your excitement. And if you can do Jillian Michaels, you get a double congratulations from me.

If you want good basic information about how to cook anything, get a Joy of Cooking cookbook. It will teach you the techniques and be useful your whole life as a reference. For anything that you used to buy premade, just do a web search with " recipe" in the keywords and you will find hundreds of options. If you enjoy…

I have a similar pain that acts up occasionally and that I got from a single longer than average bicycle trip (about 2 hours) pushing hard against the gears. I was on a cane for 4-6 months after and it gradually cleared up but now if I do too much it can flare. I HIGHLY suggest that you immediately stop pedalling the bike…

Love that you have a story with some ups and downs-- which we all have-- and how you coped with them. You inspired me today, so thank you. :)

Congratulations, Jackie. :)

You look like your own daughter. This is a great example of how losing weight can subtract years and not only from one's looks. You've gained as much in health and vitality as you lost in weight. Congratulations!

Hi kk1084: First let me say I have no experience with anorexia, but I do have problems with emotional eating. I looked at your profile and I connect with you on several levels -- the art, living abroad/travelling. What jumps out at me is that you are almost exactly at your goal weight aside from what you call binge eating,…

Hi Scott: Thank you so much for writing this. I came to the forum today because I feel a bit sad that I also succumbed to stress eating yesterday for the first time since I started this diet ( only about 6 weeks). The first thing I saw was your post and it made me feel better. I am a caregiver for my mom and some days are…

I second using the recipe builder on MFP. I've just started using it and it's great for figuring out calories in my favourite recipes. (All the nutrition info in cans and packages is on the package or often in the database). I just estimate how many cup-sized servings the recipe makes and then measure out our portions in…

You look so happy! Congratulations. :)

I second the chana masala. In fact, if you have the spices on hand ( or you can buy a few bits at the bulk section) you can add drained and rinsed chickpeas to any tomato based Indian style curry recipe and it tastes nice over baked/microwaved potatoes split open, or rice. I'd get some brown rice on hand the next time you…

(Sorry Image not working yet.) Lazy Vegetable Pakoras ( Vegan and Gluten-free): about 167 calories for 6 (one serving) with 2 tsp oil in the pan. Recipe at: http://vegetablejapan.blogspot.ca/2009/10/lazy-vegetable-pakoras.html

Great thread. Now if there were only more calorie counts. :)

I'm looking forward to that feeling. Happiness to you in your new body. :)

Thanks for great inspiration everyone! :)

Sounds like mental as well as physical fatique. College can be tiring for sure and you are doing well to fit in all that exercise. The one thing I can think of is that you might build some fun and relaxing exercise into your routine and concentrate on aerobic rather than more repetetive strength or stretching exercises.…

Sounds like it might be a recovery problem. If you train too much your body is breaking down faster than it can recover. I'd check with a trainer or sports medecine person if you think you are having that issue.

It's always tough to combine vegetarianism with multiple allergies but the people here have given you lots of good ideas. I would just add that there are blogs out there with lots of recipes for gluten-free food with different combinations of things the writers are allergic to. You just have to browse around until you find…

Sorry for your loss. It's probably natural that you have a reduced appetite while you're mourning your companion. I wouldn't worry about losing 7-9 lbs because that is a normal amount to lose in a month and maybe it was spread over the two months and masked by water fluctuations on the day you weighed. If you lose a bunch…

Seems to me Body Mass Index is MORE important than weight. Congratulations to you for losing so much weight when you are in the food industry -- not an easy accomplishment.

I'm pretty new at this, only a few weeks in, so I'm in learning mode. I'm logging everything so I can learn how I eat and why I slip up. I got a bit overconfident after a few good weeks and bought salted peanuts -- mistake! So after two days of eating over calories, I threw the rest out to the ducks. I learned not to bring…

I think when you're feeling hungry and have a day or so of eating more it's because you're under by too many calories and your body is protesting. I think the advice to increase calories is good. You can always decrease them again later. Isn't 300 hundred calories just a healthy muffin? Shouldn't be hard to eat that. :)

I think the people posting after me explained it well. I have a serious wheat allergy that causes migraines, intestinal symptoms and severe eczema. Perhaps YOU should go and educate yourself and stop being so defensive.
