I've just been for a jog and came back feeling much better. Unfortunately my mood and desire for crap is creeping back in!!!

I'm not religious at all but I like the challenge of giving things up for a while and this is a good a time as any to do it. A couple of years ago I gave up chocolate and sweets, I think I'd like to do that again.

I know. I'm feeling off it today in terms of mood. Just got out of wrong side of bed I think. Any time I am in a bad mood I tend to over eat and then feel I feel awful and guilty, it's a vicious circle & does my head in!

I can't really offer any advice but just wanted you to know that you're not alone! :flowerforyou:

Good advice. I'm not sure if I'm just having a bad day but logging and staying within limits and all the rest of it is just making me feel exhausted!
-
Sorry you're feeling rubbish :flowerforyou: Could you go swimming? Or can't you remove the boot at all? What about some calisthenics? Crunches, push ups etc? Or doing some weights, like you say. Could you do any yoga or Pilates? Can you put weight on your foot at all?

I totally do this, I have days where I just eat crap and don't want to exercise. Usually I log it and give myself a tut tut and think, tomorrow is another day. Or I make myself go for a jog or have a bath or go to bed early and read my book. But ultimately, it's easily done, everyone has off days.

Me too!

No I'm in ok shape, and not really running hills, maybe some slight inclines and declines. That's what I figured really, thank you!
-
Just for the record, I am maintaining, I log daily, and I weigh myself every day (blushes) and measure about once a week

Yes, I think I am probably not trusting my own judgement to go it alone. I used to snack a lot on chocolate, I mean like three bars a day, and being a self confessed sugar addict, I don't want to end up back there! I'm reading The Sweet Poison Quit Plan and hoping that will help. And I feel like my fiancé has painted…

Hi thanks for your reply. He's in decent shape, he does weight lifting as exercise and football once or twice a week. I've been trying to get him to eat more healthily which I can imagine is a bit dreary maybe. I am one for getting quite into something once I have it in my head, I get a bee in my bonnet! I suppose my…

Sorry I meant the calorie burns are different between the two method, ss is the higher, not sis! Stupid autocorrect.

My main problem was that there were sweet things in the house. Normally there's not much so I go buy a chocolate bar and then move on. But today there was a tin of biscuits (my mum bought them for us) and I just set about them like there was no tomorrow. Feel gross now, made myself log them, have about 1000 cals in treats…
-
What exactly is "curves" circuit training?
-
Thanks for that!
-
Well I've splurged, I don't feel too happy about it, but it's done now. A pretty embarrassing 700 cals over my goal but back to normal tomorrow!
-
MFP says my calorie goal is 2,100 to maintain, I've changed it to 2000. I walk five miles a day (approx 4mph) plus I do between 10-40 minutes of HIIT/strength training per day (five or six days a week tbh) and my job means I am on my feet, plus I have two small children so I am rarely inactive. Therefore I put my activity…

I think my urge to splurge today isn't helped by the fact that I don't feel too good, everyone in my family has had colds & I feel like it's catching up with me. You know what they say, feed a cold, starve a fever. I might just let it go for today and get back on track tomorrow. I just don't like seeing the minus calories…
-
I like that idea. I think the logging of things can become quite obsessive, I'm an all or nothing kind of person, I think I need to mellow out! If I see the calorie intake go into red I automatically get cross with myself, I really need to try and be less rigid...
-
Yeah I've lost an inch from hips and waist too. I wouldn't mind a couple off hips and one back on chest!
-
Well my job involves being on my feet all day, I walk the dog and I have two small children so I'm quite active anyway, but now I have started doing an exercise DVD, walking the dog at a more brisk pace and I want to start jogging too. I think I am expecting to lose more quickly than is probable, I think I will keep at it…

I should probably add, I only want to lose about 5-7 pounds
