I heart beer and live in a land of craft breweries, tap houses & restaurants that also love craft beers. <3 I'm also an untappd nerd. Anyone can feel free to add me too! (here or on untappd) Gotta stay active to balance all that beer tasting into my life!

hello. I got a fitbit flex to track an average calories burned each day. It helped me learn my TDEE and in turn I am not able to eat the appropriate amount of calories using the TDEE method. It doesn't do much else. I have a HRM for if I want to track calories burned during an exercise. That also is very helpful b/c I know…

This! I did have to reset my metabolism however after falling into ED territory and starving myself for a year. I kept being told to eat 2500 calories a day so I gained 15lbs. Through monitoring weight, calories in & out (using MFP and a fitbit for averages) I found that I maintain on 1800-2000 a day. It's SO IMPORTANT for…

We sound similar! I maintained mid 120's for a few years and it wasn't that hard but I did stress about it all the time due to body image issues. I'm 5'1" so technically I was still fat (LOL! Thanks society!) If I'm not sitting on my a** all day long, 1800-2000 cals/day is maintenance for me too.

I had some Jameson last night. Caskmates this time. Neat. I do like it with cubes too. If I have too much whiskey I am more blunt than normal. I also talk more nonsense than normal. And sing a lot of Billy Joel. llama llama duck!

hola. I work also in an office. 9+ hours a day plus 2+ hours commute. Planning ahead and prepping ahead is key! As other posters have said. Making and/or planning meals in advance in the best. Bringing lunch and snacks. I have breakfast and lunch here. sometimes pre-dinner too. As for exercise, I have to workout before…

OP: we are all pretty impatient when it comes to weight loss. Since you have recently started, try tracking your daily burn (in total) alongside your daily calories intake on a sheet (like Google Sheets). If you are able to use a meter to track your total burn, like a fitbit or similar, that is helpful. It's a good way to…

Wellbrutrin is kind of like a stimulant. It won't cause weight gain. It's also used to help people stop smoking under a different brand name. PLEASE be careful and mindful of your moods if you take a generic of this drug. If you worsen, stop and tell your doctor immediately. Many people have excellent success on this…

I'm super pervy. On the inside. Or only in a crowd. I am an introvert after all.

Hi all! I'm 34. I work super full-time and go to school. No kids, just cats. I have about 30lbs to lose and would love more friendly support! It's not easy staying on track with a crazy schedule. I'm not super into diets, but I enjoy clean eating and making new, interesting foods at home in super fast way. (I'm busy and…

The "protein" shake I use is spiru-tein because it's not whey (which I cant' have) and it's not gross. I use it for after working out. even with almond milk it's barely over 120 calories. 150 max depend on flavor. It's helpful to meet a protein goal, and fix that after workout 'OMG I'M HUNGRY' thing. Then I still eat…

Hi there. Your topic title suggest me so I will answer. What is your biggest challenge in eating healthy and losing weight? eating healthy is not a challenge but losing weight is due to lack of consistency. What is your biggest challenge in eating healthy and losing weight as a career woman? previous answer applies…

I definitely need more geek and nerd love in my life! I'm still trying to find the geeks in my city IRL and it's lonely *cry face*

OP: it's kind of bs due to the time. 7pm is a given out time because *most* people have this 9-5 schedule. The idea behind "no eating after 7pm" is to give your digestion system time to digest! I'm not sure if it truly aids in weight loss, but as a person to tends to eat too often and often too much, I notice that when I…

eggs-all ways, almonds, xtra lean beef meatballs (homemade), string cheese. non-whey-based protein powder w/almond milk, plain ol', cold chicken breast-if that's too dull I will dip it in hummus or honey mustard(also homemade). I think my soy yogurt has decent protein.. Whatever fills you up and doesn't make you want to…

Hi Esanata! Sometimes being on these meds directly or indirectly attribute to weight gain. I was only on Lexapro for a few weeks and *things* stopped working so I switched, but I was on depakote for 3 months and gained ~12lbs in the first month. I only managed to maintain by super dieting and constant exercise. Celexa had…

Hi there. you can add me too! It's helpful to see what other people are doing and get insight. Being successful is about figuring out what works for you and what does not! There's so much about these journeys fitness mags just don't freaking tell you.

Maybe if there are people you train with who have overcome this you can ask them how they changed things up? I was in your boat a few years ago. I could have benefited from the advice of the poster above me (helpful post @stealthq). Taking it slow, working on recomp, maintaining for a bit, and be patient with strength…

lolz. I don't drink any kind of juice. I believe the 1 cup of water on here means 8oz which is supposed to be what a 1 cup measuring cup is. It can be whatever you want it to be though. 64oz of water may not be enough for you. It's not for me. So Thirst. Much Dehydrate.

I am. Although right now I spend most of my reading time reading for school. stupid dumb responsibilities.

What they all said. Keep sodium low for a couple days and stick to water. Too much sodium over time can keep your water weight on and make your heart work harder. keep in mind how you feel when you have high or low sodium days :) you'll figure out what's best for you

that sounds pretty tolerable!
