  • If your knees are hurting, you may be over extending. Try doing them with your legs spread far apart as well - works the inner thigh and glutes (sp) and is not as much strain on your quads for some reason. I think it's called sumo squats. Doing those with a jump inbetween is a good extra calorie burn.

  • I hear steel-cut and museli are really great. However, unless it's got horrible processed sugars in it, any oatmeal is fine. My workmate makes steel-cut in her mini rice cooker. That stuff takes FOREVER to cook (which is why I stopped eating it) But it is pretty tasty.
